I promised Sapphire I would be ready by 5, so we could take the party/painting supplies to the wood shed. I was fixing my hair. I wore old clothes, so it won't be a problem to get them stained with paint.
I pushed my glasses up my nose and looked at the clock. It was already 4:57. "Just in time" I mumbled to myself. I then grabbed the box of supplies into my arms and walked out of my dorm. When I closed the door behind me, I noticed Sapphire walking over to me with another box in her arms. I gave her a strange look before saying "Nice shirt". Sapphire looked down, realizing that it was flipping me off.
"Thanks" she responded with a chuckle. We both walked to Mia's dorm and to the balcony. "So where is this woodshed " I asked, emphasizing 'woodshed'. Sapphire then took the two boxes and dropped them on the roof. "Oh, it's just somewhere in these deep woods that surround the academy, no worries" she assured me. I just gave her a small smile before jumping onto the railing. Sapphire did the same thing before we both jumped off. I looked to my right to see one of the boxes laying there. "I actually like your outfit, it looks like something Mia would wear" Sapphire added. I looked down at the box and picked it up. "These are actually my old clothes, I would never wear this, until now, but its just because I don't want to stain my other clothes" I explained. Sapphire clutched the box close to her chest. "Well then..." she said before walking off. I followed close behind her. We were soon at the edge of the roof, where we had to climb down. "I hope there's enough people at the woodshed, if not, this is just a waste of my fucking time" Sapphire muttered while climbing down the fence that was against the wall. When she got down, she lifted her arms up, telling me to drop the boxes down. I grabbed the box that was closest to me and dropped it. Sapphire automatically caught it into her arms. As soon as she set the box onto the ground, she immediately lifted her arms out and looked up at me. "Ready?" I asked. "Ready." Sapphire reassured me. I nodded my head before once again dropping the other box. I didn't waist time on climbing down the fence, but also made sure I didn't step on one of the vines that were wrapped around it. When I got close to the ground, I jumped off. I reached down and grabbed a box. "How long do you think all this would take us?" I asked. Sapphire just kept on leading the way. "I don't know and don't care, I just hope its worth it" she replied. We then stopped at some crowded bushes. I watched as Sapphire walked through the small gap. I copied her actions, hoping I wouldn't get scratched by thorns or a branch. When we got there, I saw lots of students just hanging out. Obviously waiting for us. They all looked pretty different without the uniform on. "Hey guys" I greeted. Everyone looked up and greeted back. There were already tables set out. I then put the box on a table and started taking the supplies out. Everyone walked towards me. "So, we're making 'Welcome Back' posters for Mia?" a vampire named Christina reassured me while leaning on the plastic fold up table. I nodded my head in reply. "Move out of the way losers, I have a box and I'm not afraid to use it" Sapphire announced. I looked around until some people started to move around, which made Sapphire visible. She set the box down and examined the table. "I think we're going to need more tables" she sighed out. I nodded my head in agreement. Sapphire then scanned through the group of people. "You and you" she pointed out. "Come help me get more tables out". The two really tall guys nodded and walked away with her. Everyone soon helped me take the supplies out of the boxes. "Hey Andrea" someone said. I instantly turned around to see a nervous Noah. "Oh, hey, you made it!" I said while pushing my glasses up my nose. Noah gave me one of his flashy smiles. "Yup, I wouldn't miss it" he stated. I looked over at the crowded table, gesturing him to help. He just walked to my side and started to take stuff out. "So, Andrea, can I tell you something?" he said. I looked up at him and nodded. "Sure" I simply responded. I then heard Noah let out a long sigh before talking.
I took the two guys into the woodshed and down the stairs. There were a few more tables left. "Ok, ummm, what's your names?" I asked, trying not to be rude. "I'm Josh" The blonde one said. "David" the other one answered. I nodded while fixing my beanie. "Well, David, Josh, you have the opportunity to show me your strength by carrying those tables outside" I instructed. Josh walked over to a table while David followed. They both started to lift the table while walking back slowly. "Ok, now lift it up the stairs" I added. They both nodded while walking up the stairs. I walked behind them, making sure they won't fall back. Once we got to the top they both walked out of the woodshed. "Great team work guys!" I yelled out. I watched them walk out while Mason walked in. "Hey Sapphire" he greeted. "Hey Mason" I greeted back with a small wave. "So people actually showed up?" he asked. I nodded my head. "I know, I kind of thought it would be a waste of my time, but I'll do anything for Mia" I stated. Mason seemed kind of tense for some reason. He kept on shuffling in his spot. It's like he can't stand right for a second. "Ya, I'm going to try my best to make Mia happy, just to get every negative memory out of her mind" he said. I nodded my head. "Well, for starters, you can help put the supplies out for everyone or carry those tables outside" I pointed out. Mason looked over at the tables that were still inside. "I think I'll go with supplies" he stated. I just gave him a small smile. "Good choice" I commented while patting his back. We both walked out the door and into the fresh air. "Hey, what's up with Noah and Andrea, they've been hanging out really often" Mason said. I shrugged while looking over at them. They were taking out the supplies and talking. They were both smiling too, like if they were having a great time. Andrea even blushed which means that Noah said something pretty sweat or embarrassing. I just shrugged my shoulders once again. "You never know, they might be close friends" I stated. Mason then rolled his eyes. "Ya, close friends" he replied. I quickly slapped his shoulder in disgust. "Shut the fuck up and grab a brush". He laughed while walking away. I swear there is something wrong with that boy. I don't know why Mia even likes him. Anyways, I'm getting pretty excited about the whole party thing for Mia. I think it's actually going to be great. I walked over to one of the tables and grabbed a brush. I set out huge poster on the table and started to think. I felt like coming up with something cheesy, just to get on peoples nerves. You know, when you see some cheesy poster which makes you roll your eyes in irritation because you've seen it so many times, but also try to ignore it. I then grabbed the dark blue paint and dipped my brush into it. I slid the brush onto the paper, making the paint leave a wet, shiny trail of blue. I decided to write 'Grape to see you" in blue bold letters, and then draw grapes on the side. This is so going to piss people off. I can't wait to see their faces when they read it. As soon as I was done. I walked over to a bucket full of water that was meant to rinse the paint off of brushes. I dipped the brush in there and started wiping the paint off in the water. I watched as the water turned blue. I then walked back to my art work, which I wasn't really proud of, but very happy to see the cause of it to people. I grabbed the purple paint and started sliding painting. I could see that people were already starting to read the poster before I finished it. Their faces were actually priceless.
Andrea and I were now thinking up ideas for our poster. We suggested to work together after I told her that the kiss didn't mean anything. She totally understood and she told me that she didn't feel anything either which made relief wash over me. As Andrea looked at the paper with a blank face, I looked over at Sapphire. I could tell she was making a pretty bad poster by the faces other students. I nudged Andrea in the arm to get her attention. She looked up at me in confusion. "Sapphire is making a pretty awful poster" I said. Andrea looked over at her. "Why would you think that?" she said while pushing her glasses up her nose. "Look at everyone's faces as they read it" I pointed out. Andrea kept her gaze for a little bit until she saw enough. "Well then..." she sighed out. I laughed as I watched a smile form on Sapphire's face. I could tell she was doing this on purpose. I noticed as Andrea started to paint. I soon joined in, hoping I wouldn't mess the whole thing up with my clumsiness.
