1. A thousand years

A thousand years could pass me by,

 You’d still be the only thing I’d thought of.

In my cold dark room I like to call home,

I cry your name to the heavens above.

I wish you’d understand all that has been inside,

the edges of my dark mind, where I like to hide.

My thoughts confined to the corners of this banquet hall,

I had a brief, instantaneous clarity of thought.

 In that one moment, I cease to breathe.

I don’t want to live and I don’t want to die

I just don’t want to be trapped in this unfulfilling lifelessness
