“I have a new name.” I chimed knowing that this would be better than time Keeper or Traveler while I placed the last Time Picture into its slot that I was willing to give.
“And what’s that?” Mircina asked as I could hear the first chimes of the day that I hadn’t heard in a while and those were from the birds that were nearby and they sounded peaceful to me knowing that I am doing the right thing.
“Protector.” I said and she looked up confused.
“I am not a Keeper since I had not taken anything that is not a Nothing but I have something for good resin so that is part of the name Protector but I need to travel sometimes in order to do my job to protect the world so…” I said and Mircina finished the sentence for me.
“You’re a Protector.” Mircina smiled at now that she had gotten my gist as I looked up and heard even more birds singing, more than even before as the skyline looked grand of the city that I will call home is just underneath me. I know that some will accept me and others might now but that is ok since I know I have a part of this world that is of Importance.
Time Keeper, keeps the time and makes sure that it is in line of what becomes of that peace. To some degree we are crooks of time to where all we do is just keep the pieces for ourselves. Travelers just do that we travel to where we don’t stay in one place and enjoy ourselves to where we can possibly be in two places at once, just can’t mess with the past too much or else the outcome would be different.
But Protector is, in my mind, have the best of both worlds. If you need to you could travel through time and space but moistly you protect the past to save the future. That is what I am now but then again I didn’t want my newfound friendship to end here.
“You can be one as well.” I insisted and Mircina shook her head. I could tell that she was going to reject my offer but then she became quiet. So quiet that even the sounds of the city below us were starting to overthrow our conversation but we stood there in silence.
“There would be too many of us. The world would be overrun.” Mircina complained and I brushed her off in a huff. I was excepting her to say that but right now I don’t want to argue but I didn’t want the adventure to end like this.
“No there wouldn’t Partner.” I said as her eyes stared at me in shock like I just hit her with something that was unexpected.
“Partner, I like it.” Mircina chimed as she put a hand on my shoulder and I started to go walk away.
“Where are you going?” She asked and I turned to face her.
“Doing what my job is Partner! I am a Protector, not a Keeper or a Traveler just a Protector!” I exclaimed in the same voice I used in the beginning before we went off with our new titles.
