33. chapter 32
“We had seen the same spot for a while now.” My past self complained and I was in the same state as her.
“I know but all I remember is just waking up down the river.” I said and started to stagger along ominously.
“But there are many rivers that flow in and out of that one stretch.” My past self stated and I knew that she was right.
But, then again, she could be wrong as I started to hear a sound close to something nearby slopping onto the ground slowly. I felt enlightened that we had come a crossed it and all we had to do was fallow the river; thankfully it was the right river that we now have to climb up.
I slowly started to climb but as soon as I touched the rocks it almost singed my hand as the heat kissed my skin. “Ouch!” I cried as I shook my hand and looked up thinking that this is just my luck, being thrown challenge after challenge. I was starting to wonder if there could be one thing that was simple that now would be a good thing to have.
“You didn’t have to singe yourself!” I hear my past self say and I was furious. I was furious at the fact that she had found a path up the mountain right after I just hurt myself for testing the heat off the rocks.
I glared at her angrily thinking that she would be the one that finds the path for us to go up. I was annoyed with my past self by finding the path but in the meaning of this notion although I was happy with the hill because I wasn’t going to burn my hands to where they could be stubs.
We came up the side and my heart sank since now that there is more than just a little river like down below, but it was almost a sea of lava. My mind was blown thinking that this was not a good thing that this just had to of happen to me.
“Well this is a relief.” I sighed as I stared at the obstacle in front of us as I was done with this river crossing motive. I felt alone at the moment without our guide and I was wondering whatever happened to the Flamoid. I started to look around as we fallowed the river upward.
