I wake up the next morning to someone's arm around me. Of course it was Legolas. I guess he couldn't sleep and decided to come sleep with me. I felt protected having him with me. I fell back asleep.
*2 hours later*
I wake up two hours later to see Legolas sitting on a chair polishing his arrows and watching me sleep. "Wakey wakey sleepyhead." He cooed. I stretched and sat up. "What time is it?" I asked as I looked outside. Just like yesterday, the sky was a brilliant blue but with a brilliant yellow sun. From how high the sun was in the sky, it felt late in the day. "I would say around 11. How does your leg feel?" Legolas asked as I slowly got up and put my shoes on. "Still sore, but feels way better than it did yesterday." I said. "That's good." He said. "Did you eat already?" I asked. "No. I wanted to wait until you woke up." Legolas said. "Okay, well, now that I'm up, wanna get something to eat?" Legolas nodded. "Alright then." Legolas helped pull me up and then wrapped his arm around my back. I wrapped my arm around his upper back as I started limping towards the door.
We walked back to the room we were in when I was getting my leg treated. I leaned against the table for support and watched as Legolas got some bread out. "Is bread and butter okay?" He asked. "Yup." "How many slices?" He asked. "Just one." I said. Legolas buttered a slice of bread for me and one slice with jam for himself. He handed me my slice as he started eating his. Just as we finished eating, an elf appeared in the doorway. "Your father wishes to see you both." The elf said to us. Legolas and I exchanged glances. "What did you do?" I mouthed at him suspiciously. Legolas shrugged. We followed the elf. We came downstairs to where Thranduil was speaking with a group of men. Legolas and I walked down the steps and stood with Thranduil. "Aquilia, Legolas, these dwarves wish for you two to help them with taking back their Kingdom." Thranduil said.
I connected eyes with one of the dwarves who's eyes instantly widened. He started checking me out and then whispered something to another dwarf. "Yes." The master added as he approached Legolas. "I'm Thorin. Master of the dwarves." He said. "This is Fili and Kili." He said as the two raised their hands. "I'm Fili." Said the one with the orange braided beard. "I'm Kili." Said the other one. "Then theres Dori, Nori,Ori, Bofur, Bifur, Gloin, Oin, Ballin, Dwalin and Mr.Baggins." Thorin said as he pointed (in order of names listed) to a dwarf with white sideburns, a dwarf with brown hair taking shape of a six pointed star, another one with a long shaped nose, a plump dwarf, one with a winter hat with the ears pointing outwards, a black and grey bearded one, one with a headful of orange hair with an orange beard, one with white hair not tied up but a white beard braided, one with a white beard with the ends curled up and a bald headed one. "Nice to meet you." Legolas said as he gave a wave.
"Do you accept?" Asked Thorin. Legolas looked back at me. "If Aquilia is injured the way she is now-" Legolas was interrupted by the dwarves. "Oh no! What happened?" They asked. Legolas walked back up to where I was and helped me down the steps. "Legolas and I were out last night. It was the first day we met. We were attacked by orcs in the early evening. I wasn't watching my surroundings and I got this." I said as I slowly pulled up my pantleg to reveal the cloth that was covered in dried blood. All the dwarves gasped. "Oh geez!! That must have hurt!!" Dwalin said. "It did. Very much." I said. "What were you hit with?" Mr. Baggins asked. "An axe." I said. "OOOO!!!" Everyone said while giving me a pained face. "Yes yes I know." I said. "So what are you going to do?" Kili asked. "Well." I started, "I really don't care how much this hurts. I'm coming with you all." I said as everyone cheered. "You don't have to do this." Legolas said to me quietly. "I want to." I said.
"I want to" Aquilia said. I gave a smile and pulled her close to me. "I always knew you were strong." I said. Aquilia looked up and gave me a smile. "So when do we leave?" I asked. "You will leave at the break of dawn tomorrow morning." My father said. "Make sure you get lot's of rest, you will need it because who knows what you'll have to face." He added. "Anyway's, Legolas, get these dwarves a room for them to stay in all together." He ordered. I gave my father a nod. "FOLLOW!!" I shouted as I helped Aquilia up the steps. We walked up at least 10 staircases until we reached a room. Legolas unlocked it and let the dwarves in. The dwarves went in one by one. The last was Kili who I caught give a smirk to Aquilia as he checked her out and walked into the room. I don't want you having anything to do with any of the dwarves unless it has to do with helping them." I said. "Don't worry. I'm way ahead of you. Aquilia said as I pulled her in for a hug. We spent the rest of the day in her room until it reached at least 8:30. "Let's go to bed." I said. "Yea true. We have a long day ahead of us." She said. We brushed our teeth and got into bed. I lay down on my side behind Aquilia. I wrapped my arm around her and nuzzled m nose into her neck. I deeply inhaled her sweet scent until I dissolved into a deep sleep.
