10. Everything Gone Wrong
I kept my eye on Aquilia along with our surroundings. Aquilia suddenly started lowering herself to the ground. Her breathing became shaky, sounding as if she was panicking inside. Her golden brown hair washing past her shoulders in the breeze as she stared deadly into the distance. I hopped off Amadeus and knelt down beside Aquilia. I gently stroked her hair from root to tip. "What's wrong Aquilia?" I asked. Aquilia looked at me. A feeling of dread and fear filled her brown eyes. "Orcs are coming." She said with an unsteady tone in her quiet voice. "Oh god." I said as I looked up into the distance and started to tremble. I hopped back on to Amadeus as Aquilia turned around.
"Prepare yourselves!! We have orcs coming!!" I called as I got my bow and arrow out. The orcs ran out of the forest across from us. "LEGOLAS!! RUN!! I WILL DISTRACT THE ORCS WHILE YOU LEAD THE DWARVES TO SAFER GROUND!!!"." She screamed while I started shooting the orcs. "ARE YOU SURE." I yelled back. Aquilia nodded and flew off towards the orcs. "KILL HERRR!!" The orc master screamed as the orcs ran after her. "WHAT ON EARTH IS SHE DOING??!!!" Mr. Baggins screamed. "YEAH!! SHE'S GONNA GET HERSELF KILLED!!" Fili screamed while we ran. "DON'T SAY THAT!!" I shouted as we galloped onto a higher up terrain. "I looked back and noticed Aquilia still hasn't made it out of the woods. "Come on Aquilia. Please come out." I begged to myself. I kept staring off into the distance. We waited and waited, but she never came back out. This was all my fault. I shouldn't have let her go off. "Nice job Greenleaf." Fili said. I started tearing up. This was the worst I had felt in ages. I felt my eyes well up with tears. I kept my back to everyone and stared at the forest.
I flew over top of the orcs and into the woods. "KILL HERRR!!!!!!" Screamed the orc master. "We'll see about that." I said as I zipped around trees while dodging attacks. I felt as if I was so far from the orcs until I heard the sound of something being hit behind me and then a sharp object piercing my insides. I fell to the ground in plain dirt, surrounded by a semi-circle of great big rocks. I heard the orcs coming. I knew I didn't have the strength to hide so I slowly crawled over to the rock and pressed my body against it. I quieted my breathing and sat as I pressed my side against the rock to hide myself and the arrow that was sticking out of my stomach. I felt as if I was being stabbed by knives all over my body. I could ear the orcs breathing above me. I could hear them trying to take in my scent. I closed my eyes to calm myself. "Please go away. Please go away!!" I begged inside my head. I was trembling massively. I couldn't stop. Certain areas of my dress were splattered with dirt. I kept listening to the orcs. "SEARCH THE AREA!!! SEARCH EVERY CREVICE!! NO PART IS TO BE LEFT UNSEARCHED!!!" Screamed the orc master. "Just great. Now I'm gonna die. And I won't have Legolas with me." I said to myself as tears welled in my eyes. I fought the urge to cry. The sound of the orcs splitting up wasn't a good sign. I looked around for a secret passage somewhere in the rock. Nothing. I tried to pull the arrow out of my stomach but it was too painful. I suddenly felt dread. I felt horrible. I felt...lost.
