31. Only girl
I crouched down to grab another ornament off my out-off date Christmas tree. Christmas was a couple weeks ago, but I've been too lazy to take my decorations down. I admired the beautiful glass shiny ball before putting it in a big red box for storage. Then, as I took a ornament off the lower layer of the tree. I saw a small wrapped gift in the back corner under the back of the tree. I reached under the tree to examin it closer, I picked it up carefully and turned it over till I found a name tag. It read from:Harry To:Ash .
I knew instantly what was inside the box. Now was wrapped perfectly around every side. Tears escaped my eyes. My vision turned blurry as rows and rows of tears streamed like a river down my face and into my lap and hands. I felt anger welt up inside of me. I took the box and chucked it at a nearby wall. The box hit the wall with a little clink and landed in my kitchen.
I just say on the cold hard ground with my face into my hands and kneeling by the christmas tree. Everything in my life felt horrible, like everything was falling into pieces. I finally built up some strength to quit crying. I dabbed my eyes with my hAnds and brushed off my pants, which had tear stains all over them as we'll as my shirt.
I couldn't believe that Ashlynn had just slipped through my fingers in the last few months. I remember all the times we shared. I remember that I never stopped loving her. I remembered all the dates I took her on. I remembered the first kiss we shared. Then, I remembered our horrible breakup and just wished I could go back to that day and make everything all ok again.
I had fresh tears again, but slowly wiped them away. I was a mess. I slowly stood up from where I was sitting and made my way towards the kitchen to pick up the box. I set it carefully on the table and walked back, hoping to forget that my emotions got the best of me.
Ashlynn was the only girl for me.
