10. A little help here
I couldn't believe the words that just came out of Harry's mouth. I didn't know how to react or how respond to this. So, I didn't. I just leaned back against the tree and tried to absorb his words carefully, taking everyone in a different way.
"It's starting to get really late, I should probably take you back home", Harry said blowing out the candle and packing up some of the food into the wooden picnic basket.
"Ok" Is the only thing that escapes my lips as I scurry back to his warm car.
It's hard to make out anything in the darkness, so I try to feel my way back to Harry's car. Apparently my method didn't work out as well as I thought it might because the next thing I know, Im making contact with the cold solid ground and a sharp pain in my ankle.
"Shit" I yelp as I grab onto my right ankle in fear and pain.
"Oh my god, Ashlynn" I hear a concerned voice approaching me say.
"H-a-rrrrr-y" I spat out in between sobs. I feel more tears roll down my face as my ankle sends a pain through my whole body.
"I'm here, Don't worry", Harry said reassuringly holding onto my hand. His hand was soft and warm against mine, like they were meant to fit perfectly in each other.
"I can't put pressure on it" I say finally to a stopping point of sobs
"It's ok" he says making me feel a lot better.
I wrap one of my hands around her waist and put the other on her back so I can pick her up bridal style. I carry her light body to my car and set her down in the passenger seat shortly before getting in the drivers seat and starting the car.
