I coughed, I thought I heard him wrong. “What?” I turned around to face him. His eyes were glued to my back, where my tattoo was supposed to be hidden.
“Let me see it.” He asked, quietly.
My cheeks burned red. Why did he have to see the stupid tattoo now? Of all times! I don’t want another lecture from him or Harry.
“I don’t…I don’t have a tattoo.” I mumbled, fumbling with the zipper and pulling it up. I turned back around to put my earrings in and he unzipped my dress again. I knew he found it; even if it was hidden under my bra strap. He lifted it up and ran his fingers over it.
“No, of course you don’t have a tat. So what? Is that written in magic black ink?” He asked.
“I don’t want to talk about this now.” I mumbled, zipping my dress up again.
“Hopeless?” He asked, spinning me around to face him.
“I said; I don’t want to talk about it.” I yelled in his face and ran out of our room. Fuck Zayn for even mentioning to Niall about my tattoo. So what if I had one? I don’t think it’s anyone’s business but mine. Although, I’ll probably get some grand speech from Niall and Harry later.
I ran down to Lou’s room and knocked on the door. “Come in!” He said, with excitement in his voice. Finally!
I closed the door behind me. His room was properly cleaned for once. He looked very fit in his red chinos and black dress shirt. Lou was dressing up for Eleanor!
“Oi! Look at my lovely date.” Louis said, grabbing my hand and twirling me around.
I giggled as we twirled me. My black dress spun around me in a circle. I felt so good about tonight.
“I think it’s me who gets to say you are MY lovely date…well for part of the evening until Eleanor meets up with us.”
Heshoved his hands in his pockets nervously. “Aw Lou, it’ll be fine. She is going to love you. She’s just like you…but attractive.”
He slapped my arm, playfully. “I’m attractive!”
I made a confused face, “To whom?”
I stifled a laugh as he escorted me downstairs. Harry was in the living room with the camera. I guess Lou wanted to take a picture. How Grade School…
“Alright…smile!” Haz, declared.
We put on our cheesiest smiles and made way for the door. My phone was vibrating in my jacket pocket. I slipped it out, Niall. I rolled my eyes, Louis took my phone. “LOU! Give it back…”
He shook his head, “Tonight…you are not texting anyone, especially Niall. You and him see each other all the time. I never see you! We are hanging out. I know Niall and you were fighting but…it can wait right?”
My eyebrows contorted, “How’d you know we were fighting?”
He psh’ed me, “You two ALWAYS fight…plus, I can hear you. Your room is right above mine.” My eyes widened…he could hear us? “Yes, I can hear your love making at night.”
I slapped Louis’s arm. “WE HAVE NOT DONE THAT!”
He chuckled, “Calm down, Addie. I’m just joking! Although, I was getting nervous the other night…”
“Louis, just save yourself and stop talking. I need you to concentrate on driving right now.” I blushed, a wild red.
He chuckled, “Whatever you say, Annie.”
The car ride was short and soon we were in front of a nice restaurant. Louis went to park the car so I went inside to our reserved seats.
The whole lot was lavish. We were in a secluded section, away from people. It was sort of nice for a change. No one was yelling in your ear for an autograph or a picture.
Lou slid into the booth, across from me. “So what are you thinking about ordering?” He asked, glancing at the fancy menu.
“I think I might just stick with a nice helping of raviolis.” It was an Italian restaurant.
He nodded, “I want the vegetable lasagna!”
The waiter took our orders. Lou adjusted his collar several times.
“Louis…can you please hand me my phone? Niall is going to be so angry with me.” I pouted, sticking my bottom lip out.
He was cracking, “I can text him back for you!”
“Uh…no.” But it was too late and Louis was already reading the messages. His eyes widened as he read the message. “So…you have a tat, Addie?”
I slid back into my seat, hoping I could just become the bench. Maybe then no one would care.
“Yes, just a small little tattoo. I promise; it’s harmless.”
He put his hands up in defense. “He seems rather upset about you not telling him…or maybe it’s about what the tattoo is.” He looked at me curiously, “What is the tattoo?”
“It’s just a word.” I muttered, sipping my water.
“Well then, what’s the word?”
“Hopeless.” I said, even quieter than before.
“What? I’m sorry I can’t hear you; speak up.” Louis said loudly, tapping his ear.
“HOPELESS, IT SAYS HOPELESS.” I yelled, annoyed at him.
He looked at me strangely. It took him a couple of minutes to respond. I was on the verge of tears. I had never told anyone about the story. “Addie…who ever told you that you were hopeless?”
I felt the first tear roll down my cheek and onto the table. I put my head in my hands and shook my head, quickly.
“Sh, sh, sh! Hey…look at me.” He said, grabbing my wrists and tilting my chin up so I was forced to look at him. There was so much concern in his eyes, it felt nice. “Who said you were hopeless? More importantly, why on EARTH would you listen to them?”
That was all the more answer he needed. He shook his head in understanding and held my hand, comfortingly, across the table.
Our food came and we ate in quiet as Louis texted Niall back for me. I had no idea what he was saying but I trusted he’d say something good. Louis was the boy that I trusted the most out of all of them…it used to be Zayn but obviously he can’t keep a secret. I love Zayn and all but…the boy needs to keep his mouth shut and he needs to stop smoking all the damn time. A couple of fags every once in a while is okay…but every day?
I checked my watch; we were to meet Eleanor in an hour at this new club. Louis paid our bill, much to my dismay, and we were in the car once again.
Louis tossed me my phone. “The ONLY reason I gave it back is because Niall isn’t going to text you for the rest of the night. I already told him everything he needed to know…except for the James thing. I figured, you should do that. I just told him that it was important to your health that you have a good time so you can get rid of all the stress. He just made me promise him you wouldn’t get too drunk…or leave with anyone else.”
I chuckled at the thought of me getting drunk or leaving with another guy. “I don’t think I’ll be drinking tonight.”
Louis laughed, “If you are with me…then you are drinking.”
I rolled my eyes, “Maybe…”
“You know you want to.” He wiggled his eyebrows as he parked the car across the street from the glowing building.
Even though it was dark, we slipped on our sunglasses so we could discreetly enter the building. And we did! No one recognized us. We met with Eleanor at the bar and Louis and she clicked really well. After about an hour or so of me being a third wheel I decided to dance.
Some guy grabbed at my hips and I swayed along with him for a while until he asked me to leave with him. Then I told him I was pregnant…he ran off. I had another shot and joined a brown haired, blue eyes model looking guy for drinks. He was funny and good looking. Normally this is where I would ask him your place or mine but I told him I had a boyfriend and then he told me he had a girlfriend. She worked in America and they rarely saw each other. Her name was Trinity and she worked as a nurse. They had been dating for two years now. His name was Keegan and we swapped numbers so we could text sometime.
I found Louis and Eleanor in the VIP section, snogging. Lovely. It was getting late and Harry was calling me asking when I was coming home. I slurred to him that I didn’t know where Louis went…which is never a good thing. I grabbed Louis and we said our goodbyes to Eleanor. Louis hadn’t drunk anything but damn…I did.
He ushered me into the car. I giggled the whole way home. Louis laughed along with me and then we sang to the radio…which was another sitcom by itself.
“LOU! SHHHH! EVERYONE IS SLEEPING!” I yelled, stumbling through the threshold as he closed the door behind us.
“I know…calm down, Addie! You’re being rather loud.” He whispered to me.
I laughed, “Louis you are so funny.” I wrapped my arms around him and played with his hair and then his face.
He took my hands and put them by my side. “I’m going to take you to your room now, okay?”
I smiled, “Okay, Lou Lou!”
He carried me into Niall and my room. Niall was awake, laughing at Louis and I.
“Careful…she is a giddy drunk.” Louis said, setting my down beside Nialler.
Niall chuckled, running a hand through my hair. “I’ll manage her.”
“Goodnight you two.” Louis saluted us and then walked out.
“Oh my God…Niall. I missed you.” I sat up quickly, getting a head rush.
“I missed you too. How about if you go to sleep and then we can talk in the morning, alright?” He asked, laying me down again.
I pulled at his hoodie. “No…” I whined and pulled him to my lips. He kissed back, eagerly.
It got pretty heated. He was kissing my neck and I moaned. “Niall…I want to have sex with you.”
He pulled away, “Uh…Addie that wouldn’t be a good idea.”
I pulled at the bottom of his jacket, “Why not? Don’t you love me?”
“I love you. I swear to God, I do. But…you’re drunk. I won’t do it like this.”
“I don’t mind…just do it. I want to.” I pulled at the top of his hood, kissing him again.
He pulled away, “NO. Addie, stop it. I’m not going to ruin our first time.”
“It’s hot in here.” I whined, pulling off my dress and tossing it on the floor, close to the door.
“Okay…so you ripped off your dress. Jesus, Addie. You’re killing me.” Niall mumbled, running a hand through his gelled blonde hair. His eyes lit up, “How about I go get a movie for us to watch. You stay here and get comfortable and I’ll be back soon?”
I nodded, happily. He grabbed a pillow and a blanket and left. I soon fell asleep on top of his sheets.
*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*
I rolled out of the bed with a THROBBING headache. “SHUT THE HELL UP!” I screamed, rubbing my temples.
“Oh my gosh…her face! It was hilarious!” Louis smiled at me, holding two pots together. Ugh, that smile is so annoying. I went to pull at my dress but realized it wasn’t there. I looked at myself, nothing but a bra and underwear. What the hell did I do?
“Can you get me some Motrin?” I asked, politely. Louis nodded, frolicking out of the room.
“Where on earth are your clothes?” Liam asked, walking into the room.
“Hell if I know…” I said, flipping onto my stomach and pulling the sheets over me.
“NIALL.” Liam screamed, coming into the room and throwing a shirt at me. “Get some clothes on!”
I groaned, putting on the shirt and standing up. Everything was so bright. Hangovers are hell, children.
Niall came into the room, rubbing sleep out of his eyes. “What?” He asked Liam.
Liam gestured to me and the pulled him out of the room. It seemed like they were out there for an hour before Niall returned.
“Hey princess” He said, kissing my head, “how are you feeling?”
I groaned and kicked back on the bed. He laughed, “Do you remember anything about last night?”
“No…” I replied, hoping I’d get an answer as to why I was practically naked in his bed.
He sighed, “That’s probably for the better…”
“May I remind you that I woke up almost naked this morning?”
He chuckled nervously, “Yeah…don’t worry, we didn’t do anything. I promise.” I sighed in relief, “Although you really wanted to.”
“Me? I did?” My face reddened.
I tried to cover my face with my hands but Niall pulled them away, “Calm down. It was funny. You’re a giddy drunk, as Louis put it. You were quite hilarious. Oh Niall, have sex with me. I can’t believe you just said that.”
“I just said that? So blatantly? I’ve always been good with words…” I laughed, putting my head in his lap.
“That’s alright…I still fancy you.”
“Oh wow! That’s big of you, Niall.” He pouted, waiting for a response, “I fancy you too.”
He kissed my lips sweetly. I guess Louis and Liam had cleared things up with him about my tattoo. I was going to KILL Zayn, however…
