1. Chapter 1
Pain rushed through my body as he kicked my stomach again. I screamed out in pain. I couldn't handle it. He covered my mouth and I heard footsteps coming from above. I looked up and a tear fell down my cheek. Then people burst through the door of the basement I was being held in. They held guns up and pinned him to the ground. "You are under arrest for the kidnapping of Ginger Roberts and the murder of David Roberts!" a male voice said.
I felt someone touch me. I flinched at their touch. I started screaming "Don't hurt me please!"
"We aren't going to hurt you Ginger..." a feminine voice told me. I started breathing heavily. I looked around and saw the cops. They helped me up and we walked up the stairs and out the door. I squinted my eyes, I haven't seen sunlight since I was kidnapped a year ago.
My eyes finally adjusted to the light and I looked at all the cop cars. My eyes landed on my mother. "Mom?" I asked "MOM!" I yelled trying to run towards her. The cops held me back as my mom ran towards me. I hugged her and cried. I was shaking.
"Shh Ginger your alright... You're going to be alright..." She whispered in my ear. I pulled away and the cops took me to the hospital. Luckily I didn't have any broken bones so I was able to leave that day.
Once I got home I walked up to my room and sat on my bed. I ran my fingers over the pillow. It felt like ages since I've sat on this bed, since I've been in this room. I laid down on the bed and slowly fell asleep.
It's been months since I was found. I am healed physically but not emotionally. I can't trust anyone here. My mom realized that and bought a house in England. Today was the day we moved there. I got up and brushed my brunette hair. My mom called for me and I grabbed my suitcase and we got into a cab. The cab drove us to the airport where we boarded our plane.
*Skip flight and drive to new house*
I walked into the house and it was so empty and it smelt new. I smiled slightly. I walked towards the back of the house and looked outside. I saw a tree and it had a treehouse in it. I walked out to it and climbed up to it. I saw there were games already laid out and there was a radio. I smiled even for a 13 year old girl I can still be a kid. I saw a window in the far end. I walked over to it and looked out it. "Hello!" A British accent chirped.
I screamed and turned around. I saw a boy around 14 years of age with brown hair and kind blue eyes. "Y-you scared me..." I told him.
He chuckled "I noticed. I'm Louis..." he introduced himself.
I smiled "I'm Ginger."
