“Honey” My dad said trying to calm my mom down.
“Don’t you think I know that? I’ve apologized millions of times for it. I can’t take it back! What the hell do you want me to do? Huh Pattie?” Nicole spat.
“Nicole” I whispered for her to calm down.
“I want you to get the hell out of my house. RIGHT NOW!” My mom said pointing at the front door.
“Fine, and just forget everything I said about seeing my kids. They’ll do just fine without grandparents. They’ve been doing it for a while now anyways.” Nicole said storming towards the front door.
“Nicole” I called, following her towards the door.
Nicole was already out the door. She got in the passenger side of the car. I got in and drove to the house. We went inside.
“Nicole, you can’t just keep the kids away from my parents” I said softly.
“You’re mother doesn’t have to be such a BITCH to me all the time Justin”
“Hey!” I said quickly.
“Doesn’t she think I know I’m a bad mother already?” Nicole asked.
“You’re not a bad mother okay? You made a mistake; so what? You can’t take it back. There are mothers out there that don’t even take care of their kids. Just because you made one mistake, doesn’t make you a bad mother.” I said.
“I can’t imagine what she’s going to think or say when she finds out we’re getting married. She might be so despicable, that she won’t even come to the wedding.”
