13. Fresh minds
It had been a week since the fight, yet it was still fresh in peoples minds. "Two timing slag." Courtney sneered as I walked past. A couple of boys from our year purposely walked into me. "Watch it ya slut!" They called after me. I had lost virtually everybody. And what made it worse was the fact that the toughest, most violent girl in the entire school... Was Ryders sister. Me and Ladashia still weren't speaking. Which made me kinda sad because she was a really great friend. My feelings and emotions were all jumbled up. I hated Jordan for toying with me all the time but I loved him so much. Everytime he refused to acknowledge my existence I would mentally throw him off a cliff but then immediately jump after him when the thought of loosing him was too much to bare. It was really bad in geography though. Paul would call out "hey Jordan do you always make out with your best mates girlfriends or is it just the ones that protect you?" He started laughing and the whole class joined him. "Paul shut up!" Mr Stubble warned before continuing with the map he had been busy drawing out. "Jordans a pussy and he knows it! Cuz hes been sucking out Demis!" Paul laughed and the whole class was rolling... I couldn't havr stopped myself even if I wanted to. "I think its time you went home Ms Sinus." The headteacher told me. She stood by the window with her arms folded. She was busy staring at the kids messing around outside. She didnt even look at me. "But miss-" I began but she raised up her index finger to shush me. Then turned around to finally face me. The expression on her face was nothing short of disgusted when she said, "First lesson Demi. Already you have to go home." I opened my mouth to say something but quickly shut it again as she shook her head, suggesting that I'd better not. "I am a very busy woman as I'm sure you'll understand." She sounded as if she used this line all the time. It sounded almost like she was reciting it. "Did you notice that I used your name, Demi?" She asked, stopping her little pace around the room to look at me again. I hadn't really thought anything of it but I still nodded in reply. "That is a very bad thing indeed!" She suddenly raised her voice, taking me by surprise. "This school has near 6000 pupils! Now that number is unbelievable! We have the largest school in the whole of Europe Demi! 6000 pupils and I know your name. Most of the kids I have to talk to do silly things like start fights and act up in class but you my dear... Are a problem child. You locked someone in the toilets! You were caught being sexually active in the storage room during a class and now you have managed to give a poor young boy a nose bleed and break a window within the first 10 minutes of a lesson! Just what do you have to say for yourself?!"She shouted, making my ears ring and my heart stop. She stared at me, awaiting an answer. A good one at that. "It was a kiss." I mumbled. "What was that?" She asked, I could still hear the anger in her voice. "You said we were being sexually active. We werent. It was just a kiss." I corrected her. She collapsed on the chair looking as if shed given up. She brought her hands up to her head and began rubbing her temples. "I don't think you quite understand Demi." She finally said. "I'm sorry." I apologized, not quite knowing what else to say. "You will be. Very sorry." She mumbled. "What was that miss?" I asked, knowing fully well what she'd said. I did not like the tone she had had in her voice when she'd said that. "It sounded like a threat to me." I said, giving her a dirty look. "I think you need to know your place here at St Groves Academy Ms Sinus. And if you don't manage to do so, I'm sure there are other schools willing to take you up." She reminded me, very sternly. I knew she was fibbing because there were people worse than me still coming to the school. Paul included. "Now please leave." She pointed to the door. "I'll report to detention tomorrow then." I told her with my hand on the door knob. "Oh no Ms Sinus. I dont expect to see you again at all this week."
