CHAPTER THIRTY SIX
I woke up and stretched and then rubbed my eyes. I saw Leigh fixing her hair and putting on makeup.
"You don't need makeup." I said, my voice scratchy from just waking up.
"Aw, you're so sweet!" We smiled at each other and she finished applying mascara. I got out of the bed and slid on jean short-shorts.
"Those are really short." She joked.
"I know. If I want to be a hoe, I have to dress like one." I went in my closet and got a tanktop. It was cut on the sides into holes.
"Is this better?" I twirled around and then bowed.
"Suuuure." I giggled.
"Hurry up." I told her. It was about five more minutes until we finally skipped downstairs.
"There they are!" Perrie pointed to us. She raised her eyebrows at me, "What are you wearing?" Leigh held back a laugh.
"Hopefully clothes." I sat down next to Jade on the couch.
"Where's Koral? I was thinking Katie, her, and I could do something today. If that's okay." I looked at Perrie and then back at Jade.
"She's home. I don't mind. Perrie?"
"That's fine." I jumped up and called Katie. She said she would be here in a few minutes.
*Ten Minutes Later*
The doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!" I ran to the door and opened it to see Koral and Katie.
"Koral! Katie!" We group hugged and they came in to decide what we were going to do.
"Okay, well later we will have to watch Love Actually." They nodded, "Oh, and I have cheer later. You can come though."
"Let's go get lunch 'cause I'm starving. And we'll decide what else to do while eating." Katie said. We agreed and said goodbye to everyone. My phone rang while we were walking to Nandos.
P- hey, babe.
K- hey! how are you?
P- I'm okay. My mom isn't well.
K- what's wrong?! Now I'm worried.
P- She has some rare type of cancer and she's not expected to live long. She's losing weight like mad.
K- Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, babe. Tell her I wish her the best. I've to go. I love you so much.
P- I will. I love you too. Bye!
I hung up. I can't believe it. I'm worried sick. Parker loves his mom more than anybody. It's going to break his heart if she passes.
"Who was that?" Koral asked.
"What did he say?" Katie asked.
"It's just about his mom. It's okay, don't worry. I'll tell you guys later." I looked at the ground. They slowly nodded when I looked back up.
"We're here!" I opened the door for them. We bought our food and left to eat it in the park. I love the park. We picked a small picnic table which was kind of private from everything else.
"So, how are you and Jake doing?" I smirked at Katie. She blushed, "Good. What about you and Parker?"
"Amazing. Koral, you have no idea how much I missed you. When I saw you in the car for the first time since adoption, I was dying on the inside." She giggled, "Me too."
"You two should stay the night." I offered. Koral would be able to. I was mostly asking Katie since her parents might mind.
"Yeah, I'll ask me mum now."
