4. Rain is Just the Tears of An Angel
Daniel woke up to voices in his living room.
"That's not going to happen. I won't allow it." Andy's voice said.
"You're more stupid than you look Reaper." Said a familiar voice.
"Andy stay out of this please." Mona's voice was quiet and distant.
"This is my brother Mona don't tell me to stay out of it." Andy's voice was surprisingly harsh.
"I see you two have a lot to discuss. I'll leave you with that." Lucifer's voice was disgustingly smug.
There was a long painful silence.
"Mona your not seriously considering-"
"What else could I possibly do? I've caused Dan nothing but pain. It's the better choice."
"No it's not Mona please."
"Andy, we have to think about Dan."
"That's all we have been doing. What about me Mona? What about what you mean to me? I have never loved anything the way I love you."
Mona was quiet. "Andy I love you too. But I'm no good for you. I'm no good for either of you. The only person I'm good for is Lucifer and I can't go back to him. I've done all this to get away from him I can't just let it all burn by going back to him."
After that was another long silence. Daniel couldn't take it anymore. He got up out of his bed and walked over to the door. As he wrapped his fingers around the door handle he looked out to his window. The skies were gray and rain was pounding the side of the house and into the snow.
When Daniel opened the door Andy turned his head to face him, his expression miserable. His arms were wrapped around Mona who's face was buried into Andy's chest and her shoulders were heaving. He realized Mona was crying.
