"Take away this door right now, Neville Longbottom." A familiar voice boomed
"Yes sir," I picked up most the remainder of the door and set it aside
"You are coming with me to Diagon Alley whether you like it or not. Dumbledore told me that I can now use force if you do not come willingly. I suggest coming willingly." Hagrid pointed at me with his umbrella
"Okay, may I get the stuff I have packed for the occasion?" I put my hands in the air
"Yes," Hagrid paused, "You packed?"
"Off we go," Hagrid grinned at me from the seat of the motorcycle, "It is strange to think that the last time I rode with you in this you were just a wee infant."
"That explains why I do not remember it." I grinned up at him from the sidecar
"Actually Dumbledore and Professor McGonagal had to erase your memory. You could not be allowed to remember that. After all you were going to be growing up in a muggle town, you could not be allowed to mention magic to muggles." Hagrid mumbled as quietly as he could
"Oh," I replied only slightly surprised
"Did Victoria ever tell you anything about your parents, at all?" Hagrid said awkwardly
"No," I coughed
"Can I tell you about Frank and Alice?" Hagrid asked politely
"I-I-I I do not know," I stuttered
"Are you okay if I do?" Hagrid looked down at me
"I honestly do not know if I would be able to handle it, but you may go ahead." I gulped
"Frank and Alice were good people, I promise you that." Hagrid began
"What happened to them?" I asked
"I cannot tell you that, but Dumbledore will when we reach Hogwarts." Hagrid apologized
"But I can tell you that you remind me of your mum," Hagrid chuckled
"So I look like a girl?" I sighed
"Lad, that is not the point," Hagrid looked off into the distance, "I wish you could see them, right now."
"Are you crying?"
I looked over at him, his large figure was shaking with the tears tumbling down his face. I could not believe I was seeing this huge man cry. It did not make sense to me, he seemed, I guess, like someone who could handle a lot happening to him. It did not seem right to have a giant cry.
"No," Hagrid wiped his eyes, "No I am not,"
"If you start crying then I will start crying and we will really look like a couple of girls then." I smiled up at him
"I suppose that makes sense," Hagrid said nodding his head
