We had arrived at Michael's house. It was quite nice. There wasn't anything special about it, it was just like any ordinary home.
"Hi guys." Michael said, opening the door.
"Hey Michael, thank you so much for letting us stay." I said, giving him a hug.
"It's alright, Samantha."
"Thanks a lot mate." Niall smiled, giving him a pat on the shoulder.
"Okay guys, your room is the first on the left of the stairs. It's my parents room so just don't mess it up too much."
I nodded and picked up my bags. I walked up the stairs and went to the left. The room was small, but would do for Niall and I. Most of the room was taken up by the double bed. As I put my bag down, I felt a tear fall from my eye. But I wiped it away and took a deep breath in. Everything will be okay.
"It's okay, Shay. If he comes I'll know how to defend myself."
Shay nodded, "I know babe. But what if he has a gun or knife or baseball bat or something."
I held her close to my body.
"It's okay. If he was really that dangerous, Samantha would've told us."
Shay jumped in fear.
"It's okay Shay."
I got off of the couch and ran to the door. I looked out the hole and saw it was just the pizza delivery man.
"It's okay Shay! It's just the pizza guy! Can you please get me my wallet?" I called.
I opened the door and smiled at the boy. I noticed he was sweating like crazy and his hands were shaking.
"T-t-that'll be t-twenty five dollars p-please, sir." He nervously stuttered.
I started to laugh, when I noticed another car parked in my driveway.
"Shay!" I called, turning my head. When I turned it back, there was someone else behind the pizza guy. He was bulky, was in his mid forties and had black hair, edging towards grey. Oh, and he had a knife.
"Where the fuck is it." I whispered to myself, searching for Louis's wallet. Finally, I found it on the kitchen bench.
"Shay!" Louis yelled.
I was about to say "coming!" when I heard a weird amount of silence. I walked through the dinning room, where no one could see me and I turned my head so I was looking down the hall. I saw Louis at the door and the pizza guy. Louis looked like he had seen a ghost. I went to walk towards them when I noticed another guy. He was holding a knife. I ran back into the kitchen as quietly as possible and grabbed my phone. If I stayed in the kitchen, they'd be able to hear me. I quietly tip toed into one of the spare rooms down the hall. I locked myself in and first dialled Samantha's number.
"Is he there?" Samantha quickly asked.
"Yes, and he's got a knife." I whispered, trying to keep as quiet as possible.
"I'm on my way."
"What? Samantha no!"
She hung up before I could tell her not to come.
"Where's my daughter you fuck?" Paul harshly spat.
"Who's your daughter?"
He laughed, "Don't play smart ass on me. Or he gets it." He said, pointing the knife at the pizza guy. I was about to punch him, when another car pulled in the driveway. Mike jumped out and ran over to Paul.
"What are you doing here?" Mike yelled.
"Getting my daughter back." He yelled back.
While his head was turned, I gestured for the pizza guy to leave. He nodded and ran. He was actually surprisingly fast. He got out just in time. I hope he calls the police. I wanted to close and lock the door, but now Mike was here. I couldn't leave him. Where was Shay? I hope she had called the police. At the corner of my eye, I spotted a paparazzi. Finally, they had come to good use. He took a quick photo and ran away. Well, thanks. Mike and Paul were still yelling at each other. I should probably do something. Suddenly, I heard the sound of a helicopter. I looked up to see the news helicopter hovering over us.
Carol's POV (Samantha's mum)
I flicked through the channels aimlessly.
"There's nothing on." I muttered to myself.
I went to start cooking dinner, when something caught my attention on the TV.
"Breaking news. We are here in a helicopter live above super star Louis Tomlinson's large double story house he shares with Niall Horan. It looks like they have been taken hostage by a man armed with a knife. He has been identified as Paul Crawford, who is in fact the father of Samantha Jones, Niall Horan's girl friend. The couple have not been seen since this morning."
I covered my mouth in shock as I watched Paul hold a knife to our son. I tried to grab my phone out of my pocket with sweaty and trembling hands, but failed, dropping it to the floor. I picked it up again and dialled Samantha's number. It went to voicemail after the first ring. She must have ignored it. At least I knew she was safe. I looked back up to the TV and suddenly, all the memories came flooding back. On how Mike always told me as a child that Paul beat him up. I never believed him. I tried to push it back as much as possible. I knew Paul had a past of his dad abusing him. I felt a tear roll down my cheek as I watched the TV.
