It's been a long time since I've talked to Derek. To be exact, three weeks. I've been desperately trying to go past by there to my favorite shop next door, but unfortunately I'm not able to due to Derek sweeping the floor by the window.
Today's the day that I'm going to pass by Ann's shop. I can't let him see me, or Ann will just ask me questions about why I haven't came back.
I sneak around the block looking at Ann's shop to spot Derek at the window sweeping the floor once again. This time looking towards the back of the shop instead of looking out the window. I quickly walk forward not looking inside. I manage to get into my shop safe and sound.
"Hello, welcome to 'The Shop'! Everything is 50% off!" A lady says handing me a store bag to put my things in.
I thank her and walk around the shop piling stuff into the bag. Man, I got so many things! Oh well, it's worth it. I take all my things to the counter as she scans the tags and packs them up into another bag.
"How much will it be?" I ask taking out my wallet.
"It's on the house." She smiles pushing my hands away from the counter.
"That's a good one, but seriously."
"I'm serious." She leans over the counter towards me. "You have a secret admirer," she whispers.
I walk out of the shop into the ally between Ann's and my shop with my bag full of things looking around. Who bought my things for me? If it was Derek I'll seriously beat the shit out of him, even though he didn't do nothing bad.
"Hey love, I hope you like the things I got you." I quickly turn back to see one-fifth of a group I knew five months ago. Those same brown curls that popped out of his beanie appeared covering his bright green emerald eyes. I never wanted to see any of them again, but now my wish has reversed.
"You liar!" I pull out the samurai sword I got from 'The Shop' swinging it at him. The sword was cool and I had to get it. Not a typical thing for a girl, but that's me.
"Holy shit, Andy! What has gotten into you?!" He jumps back.
"You lied to me! All of you did! I knew I should have never listened to you, you fake!" I fall to the ground dropping everything around me. I bury my face in my hands. I feel his arms wrap around me pulling me into a hug as he starts to rub my back.
"Andy, what are you talking about?" He pushes me back to meet eyes with him.
"I saw that interview a month ago."
"I lied so you didn't have to go through the hatred from fans and be bombarded by the paps. If I didn't remember you, I wouldn't be talking to you right now. I told you I wouldn't forget you, none of us did."
"Really?" I pick my face up from my hands.
"Yes. You're a great person, Andy, and I wouldn't want to forget someone like you. I'm sorry I stopped messaging you, we've been really busy with interviews and meetings for the coming up tour especially." He pulls me into a hug again. I close my eyes wrapping my arms around his neck.
"It felt so different when you guys left me five months ago. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really missed you guys."
I tighten my grip around his neck. I open my eyes looking out at the street in front of me. I suddenly see a figure stand in front of my view. My eyes adjust to the figure. Shit.
"Andy?" Derek takes a step forward.
I quickly push away from Harry looking up at Derek. Harry turns around looking up at Derek confused and looking back at me.
"Who's he?" Harry asks.
"Who's that?" Derek asks looking at me.
"I-I uh...Harry, this is Derek, a friend of mine. Derek, this is Harry, also my friend." I stood quiet looking at them both.
"Are you her boyfriend?" Derek asks Harry.
"Derek!" I shoot him a glare.
"Boyfriend? Why, are you hers?" Harry asks him the same question.
"Harry!" I shoot him the same look.
"We're just friends."
"So am I." Harry takes a step forward. "Why are you shocked to see her?"
"I haven't seen her for the past three weeks. Do you have a problem with that?"
"I'm not trying to cause an argument, mate. I have no problem with you."
"Then why are you asking me all these questions? Do you care for her because you like her?"
"No! I'm just being cautious with people she hangs out with."
"Alright lover boy, whatever you say. I know I look like the gang type, but I'm different from that." Derek walks up to me cupping my cheeks, planting a kiss on my forehead. "At least I can confess my love for you." Derek whispers loud enough only for me to hear. I had the urge to slap him, but I couldn't do it.
"By the way, you forgot your bag at our shop when we were painting." He hands me my bag. I watch Derek walk back to his shop. I look back at Harry who stood there confused.
"He's sure friendly with you." He smirks.
"Uh...yeah." I rub my arm.
"Are you okay?" Harry grabs my shoulders holding me still.
"I'm fine. Just a bit chilly."
"Here. I'll drive you back home." He wraps his jacket around me.
"There's no point for me going home. I forgot the key and the boys aren't home."
"Why don't you come to my place?"
"No, I prefer to stay on the porch."
"Andy, it's cold outside and I'm not letting you freeze in the cold." I sigh and get in the car with him heading off to his place.
