My name is Sandy Bolton, and my sister's name is Taylor Bolton. My parents left my sister and I when I was only eight. My sister was eighteen at the time so she took over as my legal guardian. My parents just simply left one day because they couldn't take the pressure of taking care of two girls and running a very large company. I never understood how they could just up and leave. I just knew that they did.
After that my sister sort of fell apart. My parents changed their cell phone number, so my sister couldn't call them. My sister felt betrayed, we both did.
Taylor and I barely make it through the month. She works at a restaurant, and takes care of me, so we never have money left over for clothes, or fun things to do, or even candy. I just wear her hand-me-downs and she makes her own clothes out of cheap fabric. We don't need great, just manageable.
It's a very boring life. I don't do sports because we can't afford the equipment needed for them. It's sad, but sometimes, I actually look forward to school. I am the smartest in my class with straight a's all year, every year,
We don't have any family willing to help us out. Besides, most of them are dead anyway. We also don't have any animals, or toys, which I don't need anymore, but still, I never even had a Barbie.
We live in a small town, with a small house, with little bit of money.
And that's that.
