Sofia was sitting in the common room beside the fire working on her essays for Umbridge when Harry walked in. He had a look of pain on his face, and he was holding his hand close to his chest.
"What's wrong, Harry?" Sofia asked.
"Nothing," Harry mumbled. "I'm just tired of that foul toad. She thinks she can come in here and take over. I don't know why Dumbledore is putting up with this."
"Why don't you ask him?"
Harry shook his head angrily as he sat down beside her.
"He's far too busy."
"Well of course he's busy. The darker wizard to ever live just rose to power again. But Harry, if Umbridge is hurting students, he needs to know."
She motioned to Harry's hand, which was still clutched tight against his chest.
"He has more important things to worry about."
Sofia sighed. Whatever had sparked Harry's ill feelings toward Dumbledore, Sofia knew she wouldn't break through it. Harry loved Dumbledore and Dumbledore loved Harry, but something had happened to make Harry resent the older wizard.
"What happened this summer?" Sofia asked.
"All summer I was trapped at the Dursley's all summer with hardly a word from anyone, nothing at all from Dumbledore. He left me there completely alone, knowing absolutely nothing."
"I'm sure he had his reasons" Sofia said softly.
Harry shook his head.
"I was there when he came back! I was there when Cedric died and i fought him! No one else. It was me."
"Harry, have you ever thought that maybe he's trying to protect you, that maybe he thinks if you know what's going on, you'll do something reckless."
Harry stood up.
"You don't understand."
He stalked away to his dormitory, leaving Sofia sitting alone in the common room.
