The day of the Yule Ball came soon after. On that night, Lea was dragged up to the Gryffindor common room by Genevieve and Hermione. Luna wasn't going to the ball, so she just watched as the two lions started to makeover the snake. She even giggled at times. In the end, Hermione was in a beautiful light pink, floor length dress with light pink makeup, Genevieve was in a floor length, slightly poofy teal dress with a sweetheart neckline, strapless. She had her hair up in a complicated braid that seemed to braid into her hair. Lea was in a white and silver floor length dress with one sleeve over her unscarred arm. The bottom of the dress was a bit like Hermione's with less layers. The dress glittered with a silver swirl pattern flowing from the bottom of the dress down her long sleeved arm. Lea's scars were shimmering in the light and the Claiming Mark stood out for all to see. Her lips were a pail pink and her eyes lids were silver with golden flecks in the eye shadow. Her hair was up in a tight bun with braids surrounding it.
Ginny came to the room with her hair down with almost no makeup on. Her dress was simple and a very light pink that didn't clash with her hair.
"You guys look great," she exclaimed as she bounded into the room. "Could one of you help me with my shoes? They won't let me put them on," she said with a small pout. Lea waved her hand and Ginny's shoes, a light pink, almost white, with three different straps, suddenly put themselves on her feet and strapped themselves on. "Thanks, Lea!"
Lea then waved her other hand and Hermione's pink heels stuck themselves on her feet, Genevieve's teal and sapphire sandals were on her feet, and Lea's silver strappy heels put themselves on.
"Off to the ball! Off to the ball!" Luna sang as she skipped arm in arm with Lea down the stairs. When they reached the Entrance Hall, they saw Harry and Weasley with the Patil twins and Hermione meet up with Victor Krum. Luna watched as Ginny went towards Neville and Genevieve came to stand by George.
"Where is your date," Krum asked with a small bow to Lea as she came level with the couple. Weasley was glaring at all three, while Harry was smiling to himself.
"Getting ambushed by Pansy Parkinson," Lea and Luna said at the same time.
"How long until he gets rid of her," Lea asked her Ravenclaw friend.
"About three minutes. Parkinson will be following," she warned.
"How did you know that," Padma asked, tilting her head slightly.
"Luna is a seer and Lea is a werewolf, which means she has extraordinary senses," Genevieve explained. "You get use to it after a while."
"Cool, so who is your date, Lea," Harry asked the Slytherin.
"Like you can't figure it out, Harry," Hermione teased.
"Who are you going with," Krum asked the werewolf.
"My mate," the girl said as said mate came around the corner, shortly followed by Parkinson. "I would seriously love it if some one would get rid of her." At that, the Patil twins smirked and set different hexes at the obnoxious, spoiled brat.
"Thank you," Draco said with a sigh of relief.
"GET THE BLOODY H-LL OUT OF HERE YOU FERRET," screamed Weasley, finally finding his voice again.
"Like that will happen," Lea said, rolling her eyes, content to ignore the reddening redhead, unfortunately, he was not.
"Get out of here and take your little snakey slu-" he started to say, but was cut off.
"Finish that sentence and I will make sure no one finds the body," Hermione said, stalking up to the now terrified boy and slapped him.
"Do you mind if I dance with your dates," Padma asked as she walked away from Weasley with a look of disgust on her face. She had heard what Weasley had said in the Great Hall, but she agreed to go to the ball with him because Parvati was going with Harry and she didn't have a date. Unfortunately for Ronald, by the look of anger and disgust on Harry's face, she didn't need to pretend to be interested in her date.
"By all means," Ginny said, throwing a glare at her brother. "You don't mind, do you Neville?" she asked her date, who shook his head with a small, nervous smile.
"So, you're friends with Loony Lovegood," Padma asked, using Luna's other name, as the group walked into the Great Hall, Weasley, quiet for now, fuming.
"She isn't loony," Genevieve said in exasperation.
"I know, she's a seer. I was just teasing," she said in confusion. "She once told me that the name made her feel special. And not the bad kind, either," Padma stated.
"Yeah, it's good to know when pop quizzes and tests are coming up," Lea said with a smile.
"Like you need any help," Draco and Harry both stated at the same time.
"When, exactly, did you two become friends," Parvati asked.
"When I dragged them together and took their wands away. I then had to bind them to chairs to stop any punches or kicks getting thrown around," Hermione said.
"Riiight," Genevieve said sarcastically. "And that happened. It's not like Lea gave them both a glare and they sopped fighting and became friends at all," she continued.
"Correct," Hermione said with an innocent smile.
They separated at that point, the group going to a table while the two champions and their dates went up to the head table. They sat down and had small talk while eating, Padma trying to sit as far away from Ronald as possible, which was forcing her to push up against Fred, who had joined them a few minutes after they sat down with Angelina Johnson as his date. It was at the start of the dancing that things got crazy.
