Nothing important happened during the time of the feast and Halloween. Well, nothing extremely important, other than the fact that Lea, and everyone else really, figured out that Moody was a sadistic and insane man. He seemed to figure out at some points when he went too far on one particular student at a time, but if he went too far with the class, he didn't seem to care. It was first discovered when he decided to show the fourth years the Unforgivable Curses, in a class room, where everyone saw. Neville took it the hardest, but everyone did. Thankfully, Moody was tactful enough to help get Neville past it all, but never lifted a finger for anyone else, even though about half the class got sick after the 'lesson'.
Lea was so disturbed, because she could understand what the spiders that were used were saying, that she left the class, just after the last curse was done and didn't appear in any others, not even to dinner.
Surprisingly, neither did Severus or Draco. Severus because he was furious and planning on bombarding Dumbledore as soon as he came from dinner, and Draco because he too was feeling ill, and he was sitting in Severus' office with Lea. Neither spoke, and they liked it that way.
Severus was never able to talk with Dumbledore because the Minister and Tournament judges had arrived and he was kicked out by Fudge, who was still an annoying git.
The next sure sign that he was insane came a week later when he started using the curses on the students. Lea was able to throw them both, the Cruciatus and Imperius Curse, off and ignore the pain, but it was the principle of the matter that bothered her. Especially with the torture curse. It hurt, but Lea had felt worst when she was first turning into a werewolf. But everyone else were in a pain filled h-ll.
Lea started to cut DADA class, not that anyone said anything, none wanting to get bitten by the 'crazed' werewolf. Moody, though, did talk with Severus and Dumbledore about how Lea would stay in the hall during class and refused to do any work that he gave out. Lea refused to talk at all about it, and she was given detention from Moody. The detention was with Moody, who she refused to be in the same room alone with, so she skipped out on it. Her Wolf was still having trouble be in a room at all with him, no matter who was in it too.
Dumbledore called Lea to his office one day to speak to her about that, Moody was there with him. As soon as she was sure about it, Lea stiffened and walked into the office.
"Ms. Talbot! Welcome, we are here to talk about your education. I hear that you aren't going to Defense Against the Dark Arts nor are you doing any work for Professor Moody. May I ask why," Dumbledore asked Lea, giving her all of his attention.
"I don't like him," Lea said simply, unconsciously shifting into a defensive position towards Moody.
"Alastair, would you mind leaving us? I do believe you have a class to get ready for," Dumbledore said, clearly dismissing him. Moody left, but stayed outside, and Lea knew.
"Now Lea, why don't you trust him," Dumbledore asked, seeing through Lea's not-full-truth.
Lea knew Moody was listening, so she just shook her head. Dumbledore was waiting for an answer, but Lea didn't want Moody to know what they were talking about.
"Lea," Dumbledore prompted. She sighed and gave in.
"Instinct, and that's really all I can say about it because someone else might here and the others wouldn't like that," Lea said. Dumbledore quickly caught on to what Lea was hinting at and didn't ask anymore. Except for one question, that is.
"Are you sure? Could your instinct be wrong," he asked, obviously hoping for some doubt.
"No, I trust them."
"I will look into it, that's all Lea, but please try to at least get into the classroom, even if you don't do anything," he said, dismissing Lea. She stood and heard Moody walk off quietly, or so he thought.
"I'll try, but he heard the whole conversation," Lea said as she walked out, going down to the Slytherin common room, checking for the next Hogsmead weekend, which was about a week after Halloween, which was the next day.
Halloween was rather dull, all though, everyone noticed Lea was in the DADA classroom, but she was sitting as close to the door as possible, even moving a chair.
The feast was exceptional, all the goodies you could think of piled high, but they weren't able to eat it just yet, as their guests had yet to show.
First came the French school, Beauxbatons, who had very beautiful people, even the men, came then Dumstrang students, who were all serious and a bit frightening. Each had a different entrance. The French did some gymnastics and some fluffy magic. Dumstrang on the other hand, used staffs for fire manipulation. It was kinda cool, but Lea found it a bit unsettling. Then, came the cup.
