1-15 Moments To Remember

People say bye to each other, and so did I. We all have to say bye someday. We all feel like we need to say some things to each other, but it is hard to say, face-to-face. Here are some of the things I never got to say to my friends as I said bye. Even though I may never meet them again, I hope they'll always remember me....

14. Moment 11 (For Greg Lewis)

This is about fourth grade.... This, too, may not be that long because it all sort of happened at the end of the year... But let me explain some of my actions....

I know you were sitting with Gavin at that time because of the picture.... (It's a picture from the first day of school.)

Remember during Reading class, we always did workbook pages on Wednesday? Every Wednesday was sort of a competition between you, Trey, and me. Trey really never won. He always wanted to do everything perfect.

Anyway, the reason every week I did it so fast was that I could actually be doing something with you. It was a small thing for you, but it was a big thing for me. Most of the kids dreaded Wednesdays, but I loved them....

Also, when we started a new social studies chapter, we made cards for the vocabulary words. You were so fast. It was so hard to beat you at that.

But I always tried.... I guess my problem was that I wrote every single word of the definition that showed at the glossary.

And some of the definitions were sooooo long!

You are so smart though. You were the person who knew most of the names of the states when fourth grade started.

And when Mrs. C-A asked a question during science/social studies/reading/English, you always got it right. And during math, you always finished your work so fast!

You always seemed to not bring a snack, so I started to give you mine. I wasn't really hungry and I wanted to make you notice me somehow...

You were simply adorable in fourth grade. You were the fastest runner in the class, and you were like the best at every sport.

I personally think it's weird that none of the girls like you. I mean, even though you don't really behave well during class, you get good grades!

And you are so funny... You brightened up my days...

Remember when I used to sit with the boys? All of the kids thought that it was because there wasn't a place for me to sit at the girls' table. But that wasn't the reason.

That was a good excuse. But the reason was because I could actually get a chance to talk to you and get a better look at you.

It won't be strange if I stare at you there....

At the end of fourth grade, Martina told you that I like you. But she was supposed to do it when no one was around, so she did a bad job.

Anyway, I was sort of glad that you knew, but I was sort of worried that Gavin would tell his brother and then Jack would tell Wooil.

Luckily, that didn't happen. But it got awkward every time I tried to talk to you. Then I was worried that you'll hate me more than ever...

That's how fourth grade ended....

My feelings were all mixed up...

The last one would be about fifth grade... Where all the main stuff happened...
