"Oh Loki it's beautiful!" Scarlett exclaimed, slipping the necklace on around her neck. It was a tiny black jewel on a silver chain. Loki smiled a little.
"What type of jewel is it?"
"Onyx, I believe."
"Thank you it's absolutely gorgeous!"
"You haven't even seen the best part yet."
"Uya," he muttered, and suddenly the whole room seemed to slip away, becoming engulfed my darkness. Soon the darkness took shape and become a beautiful network of stars, planets, and nebulae. Scarlett rose a hand to her mouth and stood. Loki made sure that Oscar and Seb were safely on the floor and stood too.
"I have also created some other pathways."
"May we see?"
"Of course. Mristay."
The surroundings turned back into the room, the only change being a globe floating in front of the pair.
"Say a place. Any place or a name of a person you want to visit, but it's best to be specific."
And so it came about that the room became Paris.
"Am I actually here? In Paris?"
"I'm afraid not. But as good as. If you wish to you can interact with certain people, but otherwise they cannot see you. You can walk through the streets but you are not really there."
"I have one last pathway."
Paris became a luxurious city. It glistened and shone as the light bounced off of it. It was truly glorious.
"This is my home. This is Asgard."
She reached out to touch the buildings and was amazed as she felt the smooth surface under her skin.
"So I'm here, in Asgard, but no one knows unless I want them to?"
"How are you and the cats here though? I'm the one wearing the necklace."
"We are in the same room."
They sat on the floor of Asgard for about an hour in silence. Just watching. Scarlett was amazed and Loki was feeling nostalgia.
"I want to go home now."
Before they knew it they were back at the flat, on their feet, face to face. Scarlett gently wrapped her arms around the man and nuzzling her face in the crook of his neck she let the tears fall.
"Loki, you have made me the happiest person in the Universe."
