I soft groan escapes my lips and walked to the door.
"Where are you going?" Xavier asked.
"To use my free time more efficiently," I answer before leaving and heading for the gym, the one where only slaves can go.
If he won't let me give this baby up for adoption, I'll force a miscarriage by putting a lot of strain on my body.
I'm just glad I don't sweat easily.
I open the gym door and walked to the treadmill. "Hey Lacey, over here!" Shannon, Xavier's cooking slave called.
I look over to Shannon who was jogging on a treadmill. I smiled over to her and jogged my way next to her.
"Hey," I tell her with a smile as I put the treadmill in motion. As I was jogging at 6.30 speed, Shannon and I talked about a bunch of things.
Just then, my alarm on my IPod went off and I stopped the treadmill, got off, went over to the cleaning wipes and wiped the off the handles and whatnot.
"See ya Shannon," I tell her with a smile.
"See ya. You coming back tomorrow?" Shannon asked.
I grinned at her, "You know it,"
It's been two weeks since I found out I was pregnant, and the baby is still in my womb. Shockingly enough, Xavier didn't tell anyone about me being pregnant. He had the doctor give me something for the morning sickness, which had helped big time. I'm not sure when he will tell everyone, but I hope its not any time soon.
I was jogging at the treadmill talking to Shannon when I hear Xavier's voice.
"Lacey," I groaned and stopped the treadmill, Shannon did the same thing.
"Crap, your free time was up twenty minutes ago," Shannon spoke looking at her watch.
"Come on Lacey, let's go." Xavier orders.
"By Shannon," I tell her.
"Later," Shannon responds giving me a quick hug, which I returned it.
When Xavier and I entered the soundproof room, Xavier slammed the door shut, causing me to flinch.
"What do you think you're doing?" Xavier growled.
I opened my mouth to respond, but Xavier kept going, "Exercising can put stress on your body, and cause a miscarriage." Xavier stopped talking. "That's why you were jogging on that treadmill, you were trying to force a miscarriage," He spoke.
I didn't answer.
"Why would you do that!" Xavier yelled grabbing onto my shoulders. "You know how much I wanted that child! You know how much I wanted to watch that child grow!" Xavier said continuing to yell as he gripped onto my shoulders, causing me to whimper,
Xavier pushed me into a wall. Hard.
Storming over to me, I cowered back. He grabbed my shoulders again and pulled me up. "You are not aloud to go anywhere alone you hear me!" He screamed at me pushing me into a different wall, except this time was much harder.
Another whimper escapes my lips. This reminded me of my abusive uncle. He use to do the exact same thing. I mentally shake my head, 'No I won't think of that.' I thought.
Xavier had me by the shoulders again, "I said do you hear me!" Xavier shouted.
I was about to answer when Xavier pushed me into yet another wall, harder then the last.
That's when I burst into tears. Xavier grabbed me by the shoulders again, "Answer me!" He screamed.
"I'll answer you when you stop abusing me." I whispered, not expecting him to hear me.
Xavier's hands suddenly loosened against my shoulders. His hands then released them and he backed away.
I didn't know what I was doing, but my feet ran to the door. Flinging the door open, I began to run, expecting Xavier to run over to me to stop me, but he didn't.
I didn't know where to go, but somehow my feet stopped at Shannon's door.
I found myself knocking on the door softly.
A few seconds later, Shannon opened the door, Her eyes widened as she saw the tears pooling down my cheeks.
She stepped aside and let me in.
"What happened?" She asked.
I take a deep breath before answering, "Two weeks ago, I found out I was pregnant. I didn't want the baby, so I said I was putting it up for adoption. Xavier wouldn't let me, so I decided to go to the gym, and strain my body so much I would get a miscarriage. Well, today, when he saw me exercising, he lost it. When he got to his room, he slammed the door shut and yelled at me. I didn't answer, and he grabbed my shoulders. After a while, he threw me against a wall really hard. He did that two more times, each harder then the last."
"Oh sweetie," She whispered pulling me into a hug, causing me to whimper in pain.
Shannon gently pulled back and said, "May I see your shoulders and back?"
I nod my head and took my shirt off. Shannon gasped. "H-how bad is it?" I stuttered.
"Shannon?" I whispered.
"The bruises are dark, and I mean really dark on your back, your shoulders isn't that bad though." Shannon answered.
"Put you shirt back on ok, I"m going to get King Pride." Shannon spoke.
Before I could say anything, Shannon was by the door and said, "Stay here please," And left.
I was pacing back and forth Shannon's room, scared out of my mind. It's been twenty-five minutes since Shannon left, and there is no sign of her.
I jumped as the door opened and Xavier came in.
Fear entered my face as I cowered backwards.
"I'm not going to hurt you Lacey," He whispered.
I didn't believe him though.
He took a step towards me, and I took a step back.
The door opened again, and Shannon and Xavier's father came in.
"Xavier, may I talk to you alone," King Pride asked.
Xavier nods his head and left.
Shannon rushed over to me, "Are you ok?" She asked.
I nod my head. "Do I have to go back with him?" I whispered.
Shannon looked down. "I'm afraid so. He told me that Xavier is the only one who can send you back."
A whimper escaped my lips, tears leaked from my eyes, and I began to softly cry.
"It's ok Lacey, King Pride told me to tell you, that you have permission to come to me if he hits you again, and if Xavier tries to stop you, to call me." Shannon told me.
A few minutes pass and the door opened. "Lacey, we should get going," Xavier spoke softly.
A small amount of fear enters my eyes as I get up from Shannon's bed and slowly made my way over to Xavier.
