11. What the...?

How were Zayn and I suppose to save her from the drunkard? I had very bad ideas. They were never good. I need a better plan. "Um, Kayesha, Lula's fine." Zayn says calmly. "How on earth is she fine?" I asked with worry. "Since she's right next to me." Lula waved. "How did you-" "Oh, the drunkard was hit by a car." "Oh well to him." I said. "Let's get out of here. We have so much trouble already!" We ran out and panted. "Never again am I going there." Zayn said. "Me either." "Suit yourself." Lula shrugged and went back home by herself. It was just Zayn and me. "I guess we're walking together, huh?" I nodded. So we walked and had a meaningful conversation. "Bye Kayesha." "Bye Zayn." I went home and my parents weren't home. I made my family dinner and I ate. After I ate, I decided to watch TV. There wasn't anything interesting on TV, so I ended up turning it off early, for once. I did my homework and my parents came back. "Hello, Kayesha." Both of my parents kissed my cheek. "Hello Mom and Dad." "Here's your present from the co-workers Ellen and Maria." Both of my parents said. "Obrigado." That means thank-you. They nodded and headed upstairs to changed their clothes. I wanted to call Lula to see how she's doing. When I called, there was no answer. "Mom? Dad? Can I visit a friend? She's sick." "Okay, but be back in 15 minutes." My parents called out. I left and went to her house. I knocked on the door and her mother answered the door. This is what the mother looks like.

"Hello, may I help you?" She asked hastily. "Uh, yes may I talk to Lula?" Her face softened. "Oh, you must be Kayesha. I'm Lula's mom." "Hello Ms. Aavedra." I didn't dare to call her Mrs. "So, can I?" I asked. "Sure. I'm leaving for a bit, but please don't throw any parties." She begged politely. "Ma'am, I'm not suppose to be here for that long." She sighed in relief. "Good then. Goodbye then." She walked out the door. I decided to look for Lula. I need to talk to her. It seems important. "Lula?" I called out. No answer. Lula's gotta be here in the house somewhere. "Lula?" I called. Still nothing. Then I decided to check her room. I didn't know where that was but I heard slurping noises. I opened the door with a little crack and I saw Lula and her brother kissing.
