So, Georgina had decided that everyone would meet up outside the Room of Requirement that Saturday morning after breakfast. This was the nerve-racking part. Will anyone turn up?
Then Izzy and the other Gryffindor girls arrived outside the Room of Requirement. But after five minutes, at least fifteen girls from the other three houses arrived. Georgina then thought of the words ‘Place To Train’ and the door appeared. The room they entered was filled with wooden replicas of dark wizards and was lightened up by a fireplace at the back of the room. Everyone gasped as they entered the room.
Georgina stood in front of the crowd and clapped her hands to get their attention. “We are all here today to sort out the forbidden friendship problem,” she began “Now we will need self-defence and propaganda. To make sure this works we will all need to take a pledge,” then she took a deep breathe a put her hand on her heart “I, Georgina Louise Bradley, pledge to make people such as Talia Knight, realise that Slytherin can be friends with other houses.”
Izzy handed Georgina a list of all of the members. Georgina read out the first name “Melody Abernathy,” Then a tall red haired girl around the age of thirteen, came up to the front, held her hand on her heart and said the pledge. As she read through the names, Georgina had notice all of the girls were first, second and third years. “That’s because Talia doesn’t affect the others.” Sheryl explained. Once Monique Giffard, a first year Slytherin who wanted to help, had pledged, Georgina looked down at the list. “Lauren Hagen,” she read out.
Lauren walked through the crowd and stood in front of her, put her hand on her heart and said “I, Lauren Kimberly Loretta Hagen, pledge to make people such as Talia Knight, realise that Slytherin can be friends with other houses.” This made Georgina smiled as a single tear fell onto her cheek. Once everyone had pledged, Georgina assign half of the girls to practise defensive spells and the other half to make flyers and badges as propaganda.
As this happened, Georgina started to wonder about the look on Talia’s face when everyone goes against her. This made her giggle. “What’s so funny?” Lauren said walking over. “Oh, nothing,” Georgina smiled “I’m just happy that so many people feel the way I do. The I’m also happy that if this works we’ll be able to hang out all the time.” The two hugged each other.
