“Georgie, wake up!” Georgina opened her eyes and saw Izzy standing by her bed. “It’s our first day of lessons. We don’t want to be late.” So Georgina jumped out of bed and threw on her uniform. Before she left her picked up all of her school book and put them into a satchel she had bought so that she didn’t have to carry them all.
Izzy and Georgina were followed by Annie, Anaïs, Sheryl and the Gryffindor boys all the way to the Great Hall. Until Georgina clumsily bumped intoa girl with honey blinde hair. Bookks were scattered on the floor. “I’m really sorry.” Georgina apologised helping her to collect up her books.. “It’s OK,” the girls smiled “I should have looked where I was going.”
The two girls stood up and faced each other. “I’d better get back to my friends.” The girl said with a smile. “But I didn’t catch your name,” Georgina insisted. The girl looked back at her, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear “Lauren Hagen. What’s yours?”
“Georgina Bradley.” Georgina replied almost instantly after Lauren had finished speaking. “Well, I’ll see you around, Georgina.” Lauren gigglled then wlaked over to her friends who were waiting for her at of the tables.
Georgina joined Izzy at the Gryffindor table just as head of house, Professor Anemone, was giving out their timetables. “First lesson, Transfiguration with Ravenclaw.” Georgina read out loud. After they had eaten both she and Izzy headed to Transfiguration. Their teacher, Professor Sader, was was waiting for them. “Welcome to Transfiguration. For now you will all stand at the back of the classroom until I show you where you’ll be sitting.”
Professor Sader quickly looked at his register “Vicent Attridge and Annie Tobin,” he pointed to a desk at the front. The two sat down as Professor Sader continued. He has assigned Georgina a seat slap bang in the middle of the room with Ravenclaw student, Lailei Lowe. “Now, today we will be learning to Avifors spell…” Professor Sader began to ramble on. Once he’d let the students try, Georgina pointed her wand at the feather provided.
She took a deep breath and said “Avifors.” An electric blue light shone from the end of her wand and the feather transformed into a sparrow. Lailei looked astonished as she tried. Georgina corrected Lailei’s wand movement and her feather turning into a bluebird. “Ah ha,” Professor Sader raised his voice “Miss Bradley and Miss Lowe have done it. Fifty points for each of you!”
At the end of class, Georgina and Izzy started walking to their next class when they were stopped by tall girl with long black hair and a flawless complexion. “Excuse me, but we need to get to class.” Georgina said politely. “Oh, of course but I just wanted to introduce myself,” the girl smirked “Talia Knight, the most popular girl in Slytherin.”
“Oh, it’s, err, nice to meet you,” Izzy shivered.
“I’m sorry, I’d didn’t catch your names.” Talia said inocenntly. “I’m, err, Georgina Bradley and this is Izzy Ellwood.” Georgina said after plucking up the courage to. Talia flipped her hair over her shoulder “OK, Izzy and Georgina, I just want to say we have rules through out the student body and if you brake them there will be consiquences. So stay out of trouble and don’t step out of line.” Then she walked off.
“Geez, what’s her problem?” Izzy said to Georgina. “I don’t know,” Georgina said gritting her teeth with nerve “But we don’t want to find out.” So the two headed to Potions and jouined there Gryffindor and Hufflepuff classmates.
