I step out of my father's black van and my siblings follow me, we are all dressed in comfortable, dark clothes. My mother was asked to stay at home for the reading of the will because she wasn't in it, along with my aunt Linda's husband Jeremy. I am not ready to hear what we all receive from me late grandmother because that means she is truly gone. My twin brother, Mike, drapes his arm around my shoulders and hugs me lightly. There was no denying that I was taking this harder than anyone else. My grandmother and I were close and she was so proud when I told I had been excepted to N.Y.U after I graduate high school this year.
I duck my head as tears start to openly roll down my face as we walk quietly into the small courthouse where our grandmothers lawyer will read off her will. Everyone here missed her, but were more interested in what they will get. I could careless if I got anything or not, I just wanted one thing and that is my grandmother's last thoughts. She died of cancer, she knew she wouldn't last much longer so she spent her last hour fixing her will and then they pulled the plugged her and she died a slow painless death.
A man in a grey suit leads my father, siblings, and myself to a small room painted grey with a small desk and two couches also a dull grey. I see my aunt and my cousin James. "Great everyone is here we can start the reading of the will." Another man with a grey suit says.
He reads in a monotone voice, that is boring and depressing. "In my hour of death I write my last and final copy of my will, I give you what I believe you deserve the most. To my beautiful daughter Linda I leave my car, to her handsome son I leave four hundred and fifty dollars. To my son William I leave my house in hopes it will give you the perfect shelter for your rather large yet beautiful family of four daughters, a son and a beautiful wife. To Cassandra, Jessica and Tiffany three of my four granddaughters I leave four hundred and fifty dollars each. To Mike my grandson I leave four hundred and fifty dollars also. Finally to my beautiful and favorite granddaughter Lillian Rose Montgomery, my flower, I leave the rest of my earthly possession, including money. Most important Lillian I leave you my paper airplane necklace, you took such great interest in, and the diary that can only be opened with paper airplane charm itself. Read my most favorite memories and find the story behind the paper airplane necklace you have longed to know through out the years. With great amount of love Rose Lillian Montgomery. P.S If I find that you tried to take what I left to my Lilly Rose I will haunt you."
I suddenly couldn't breath as well as I could five seconds ago. She left me almost everything including her necklace, I was pretty sure she would want to buried with it on. The man who read the will handed me her necklace and diary, he said she wanted in the safe with her will. I thank him quietly and put the beautiful necklace on.
My father was happy about the house because he could never find the right house for all of us, but my grandmother's house was the perfect fit. I could tell my sisters and cousin were angry with their lesser amount but my brother could careless.
The car ride home was quiet and awkward, when we got to our small apartment my mother cheered with joy over the news of the new house. We packed up our small amount of belongings and moved right into our new house.
I got the second biggest room in the house, I lock the door once I am completely unpacked. I open the dairy to see a picture of my grandmother with a five really good looking guys and her friend Kirsten.
My favorite picture in the bunch is the one with my grandmother and a curly hair boy with green eyes, they are on the beach he is wearing the necklace and both are in bathing suits, smiling and laughing. Her brown hair is curled and the boys arms around her waist and in the back round Kirsten is watching, with a giant smile on her face, holding hands with a blonde boy who was in the first picture. Another boy with dark brown hair holding hands with a girl who's hair is blonde and has a hint of pink in it, another boy with a beautiful brunette with really nice legs and finally a boy who seems to be slightly uncomfortable holding hands with a girl who has long light brown hair, he is hiding his face a bit. I flip the picture over and on the back it says 'True Love in it's Purest Form'. 'Harry and Rose, Niall and Kirsten, Zayn and Perrie, Louis and Eleanor, Liam and Sophia.'
I start to read what my grandmother titled in black sharpie, on the cover of the red leather diary, The Story Behind the Paper Airplane necklace.
That is the prologue to my Harry Styles Fan Fiction, I hope you like it. For now on it will be Lillian's grandmother's story unless I say so. Pretty much you will be reading what Lillian is reading about her grandmother's past.
