Like a moth to a flame
I released the safety, took my aim and BANG! Rolling my shoulders under the heavy leather jacket, I aimed and shot once more.
“Clips empty bro!” Jake shouted over the pounding rap music.
“How’s my aim?” I taunted arrogantly. I never miss a shot.
“Perfect as always man, you have a guest at the cards table though.” Jake laughed, carelessly.
“Best not keep them waiting.” I replied smoothly.
I sauntered toward the card table my blue eyes scanning the room. If there was any sign of a threat, they would be dead within seconds. The wooden walls housed four large tables that sat six people comfortably. The dim lighting, the loud music and smoky air set the perfect atmosphere. Near the door was my guest. A tall slim red haired beauty perched atop my table, flirting with my staff trying to smoke my cigars. A sensual smile curved my lips, she would be mine tonight.
24 hours before
“You don’t deserve to be here.”Elizabeth murmured.
“How would you know, you never give me a chance!” Georgia cried.
“Opportunities like this are earned not given.” Elizabeth commanded.
“Fine, let me earn your respect and prove I belong here. Give me any task and I’ll do It.” she goaded.
“Any, task?” Elizabeth asked quietly.
“Yes any!” she pleaded.
After my outburst with Elizabeth, Georgia now had to prove she was a good angel. She had to bring them a converted fallen. Only they had given her, the most ruthless, arrogant and selfish fallen there was. Demetrio. His reputation was legendary among us, and damn near every angel was afraid of him. Georgia wasn't worried, she had a plan.
Georgia gazed at the luscious male in front of her. This is what a fallen looked like? Wow! He stalked towards her arrogantly, his gait sure and confident. His leather clad legs were long, emphasizing his six foot five frame. His tight black muscle shirt hinted at the six-pack I knew was underneath. All the fallen were extremely strong, although this one had a dark mysterious air to him. His long strait black hair hung to his lean waist; emphasizing his tanned skin. His blue eyes glowed like sapphires in the dim light, dancing with mischief.
Georgia was quite tall herself at six foot, but even this male managed to loom over her. He casually struck up conversation and they played cards and poker. It was a good thing she knew how to play, because he was incredible. Georgia easily flirted the night away, teasing him, trying to gauge his reaction; but his poker face was impeccable. Would he fall for her trap? She could only wait to find out.
Jake saw his sister with Demetrio the next morning, and shook his head in expiration. What was the fool thinking? He angrily stormed over to her and yanked her to the corner of the room shielding her body with his. He demanded answers from her. After she explained the predicament she was in, Jake was more furious. He ordered her to change her plan before she got hurt, but like the stubborn woman she was, naturally she refused. Claiming she knew best. Jake closed his eyes and ran his hands roughly through his long black hair. He would have to put a stop to this.
He glared at his sister for the trouble she caused and pleaded once more for her to change her mind, before he intervened. As he feared, she refused. Jake summoned up the courage and walked away, hatching his own plan of action to save his sisters head.
A few weeks’ later, Jake saw Demetrio outside in the woods; leaning against a winter worn web like tree smoking his famed cigars. He crunched his way over, through the cold snow, the icy wind billowing around him. He decided to tell Demetrio the truth. He couldn't see his friend or his sister hurt, and this was the only way he knew to save them both. Little did he know; Alex, the messenger, had overheard the conversation and with a mischievous grin, left to inform the archangels.
Georgia sat curling her long soft hair into red ringlets. She was going to see Demetrio again! Barely containing her glee, she relished these feelings. Doubting she would ever experience them again. Was she falling in love with a fallen? How ironic. Knowing he likes leather, she chose out a short, sleek red leather skirt with a tight, thin black lace top that showed her slim waist to perfection. Georgia paired the outfit with knee length black stiletto style boots, loving the killer heel on them. He would never guess she was an angel while she wore this!
She was ready to astonish him tonight. Georgia stalked out the door filled with confidence and arrived bang on time at the bar she was meeting him in. She ordered two beers and flirted her way onto the pool tables as she awaited his arrival.
I was fuming. What a prick! I could not believe Alex had sold me out like this. He should know better. As if one betrayal wasn't enough, that female from a few weeks ago, was an angel. Jake's sister! ‘You are forbidden from seeing her’ yeah right I would get my revenge and start with Georgia.
Strolling casually through the door of the bar, I nodded once toward the bouncers and the bartenders. They knew what was going down, and they were cool about it. I took a seat in the brown booths and motioned her over. She came when called, as I knew she would. Her glittering eyes betrayed her secrets and I knew just how to exact my revenge.
