Musical practice was in full swing, and Niall and the lads were working on the scene of Summer Lovin’. Then the girls would work on their routine.
“No, no Niall! You need to do a shuffle, spin, shuffle! Not a shuffle, shuffle, spin!” –Yelled Mrs. Jones
Mrs. Jones was getting frustrated with Niall, so when she wasn’t looking Niall starting goofing around to make Abbey laugh.
Mouthing the words to Niall. “Stop! You’re gonna get into trouble!” –I said, then make a silly face.
Mouthing the words to Abbey. “Oh come on, have so fun!” –Niall said while making a funny face back.
“Ok Niall from the top again.” –Mrs. Jones
Niall tried again a couple more times then got it right.
“I think the reason why I am struggling is because of these shoes, they are so tight” –Niall said as a joke
“Ok lads good job! Ladies I need you on the set for Summer Lovin’.” –Mrs. Jones
As soon as Mrs. Jones said that I was gone. These shoes are killing my feet, and I needed a break anyway. Abbey and the girls entered the set and got into their positions. The music started, and the girls started their routine. When they were done, Mrs. Jones started making some changes.
“Ladies, wonderful job on the vocals, but I have an idea, Eleanor when your solo comes up I want you to be on the chair when you sing it, and then Kaylee, when Abbey and Becky (she plays Patty Simcox) are sitting down at the lunch table I want you laying on the bench and push them off the bench with your foot. And Abbey and Becky when Kaylee pushes Becky I want both of you to fall off the bench and make the trashcan fall over. Ok ladies; let’s start back at the beginning.” –Mrs. Jones announced
The music started back up again, and the girls started their routine again. Once the girls were finished, Mrs. Jones called us all back up onto the stage so we could run through this scene and see how it looks. The music started and I was on a roll giving all that I had! And I actually did my dance moves right!
“Wonderful job everyone! I will see you all back here on Monday! Have a nice weekend.” –Mrs. Jones
We all started to leave started to leave, so I offered Abbey a ride back to her house, since I am already coming to her house.
“So what do you think of the musical so far?” –Abbey
“I really like it! It is better than some of the other ones we have done.” – I said
“That’s good, this musical is probably one of my favorites.” –Abbey
“That’s cool, so is there anything important to know about your family so I don’t make a fool out of myself.” –I asked
“You won’t make a fool out of yourself, you have met them before!” –Abbey said laughing
“I know I have met them before, it is just I want to be able to have a conversation with them without looking like an idiot.” –I said
“Oh I understand what you mean. It is simple my dad is into sports, he loves football, my brother Luke is into animals and this weird top spinning game I don’t know exactly what the name is called. My sister Elizabeth is into fashion and hair and makeup, and my mom is interested in reading, she reads all the time.” –Abbey
“Ok, I know it seemed weird to ask that, it is just I want to be able to talk to them and not feel awkward.” – I said
“I don’t blame you!” –Abbey
As they were finishing up their conversation they pulled up to Abbeys’ House.
