6. Chapter Six

About an hour later we were done cleaning up the club; and this might sound a bit weird, but sometimes cleaning up was my favorite part of the night. We always had so much fun and we joked around all time, played bad music as danced horribly while putting the clean glasses away.

I was sat on one of the counters when the bust-boy grabbed my shoulder. I looked at him and I could just see in his face how tired and exhausted he was.

"We're done, Charlie. We are finally done!" He said over-dramatizing it a bit. I laughed and joined in on the whole drama/diva thing.

"My god, Lord Joseph! Finally we can go to our castles and have the butler bring us some tea and cucumber sandwiches!" I said with a horrible British accent and started laughing. Joe soon joined me and we sat ourselves down on some stools to smoke an 'after work cigarette' and soon Laura joined us and rested her head on my shoulder. I swung my arm around her and nuzzled her side.

I had known Joe pretty much my whole life. We had gone to primary school together and lived really close by each other. When I opted for a music focused school and Joe opted for a regular high school we were separated but we stayed in touch, even when I moved out if my mums house.

I had met Laura when she started working at McGraw about six months after I started and we clicked instantly.

"I should head home." I said after I put out my burning cigarette bud. "I'm beat." And with that I got up, said goodbye to my colleagues, grabbed my stuff from the small personel room in the back and walked out of the door.
