8. Chapter Eight

Ashton's POV

I had first noticed Charlie when she was outside smoking a cigarette and her beauty stunned me. I couldn't take my eyes off of her; she had brown wavy hair shoulder length hair and eyes as light blue as the ocean. I didn't know she worked at McGraw until I saw her through an opening where the register was. She was dancing around trying to fetch people's jackets, smiling and laughing at the drunk costumers. She was beautiful and I felt myself being drawn to her.

I had this big romantic thing planned out for when I got to the wardrobe; I would tell her that she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen and ask her out on a date. But when I actually got to the wardrobe I couldn't muster up the courage and be the confident guy that I usually am. Something about her made my voice hitch in my throat and my heart beat more rapidly than ever.

I then decided that I would wait for her until she was off work and ask her out then.

Unfortunately I fell asleep waiting for her.

"Why did you want to walk me home anyways?" Charlie suddenly asked breaking me out if my train of thoughts. I panicked inside; I couldn't tell her about my master plan. If I did I would just sound weird and stalkerish.

"Uhm... I don't know..."

"Alright." She said and smiled. This is going terrible, I thought to myself. If I don't do something know, she will definitely think that I'm a weirdo.

"Ey! You want a cup of coffee?!" I was hoping to dear god that she would say yes.

"I'd love to. I won't be having much sleep today." She answered and smiled at me.

I looked at her and smiled back.

"Why not?" I asked her. One should be able to sleep all day, if they worked all night, I thought.

"I'm going to this family thing in my hometown; I have to catch a train around 11am, and now it's what..." She started and pulled out her phone. Her background screen caught my eye. It was two young girls, one if which was Charlie. " 8.15am. So around three hours until the train leaves and I still have to pack." She finished as we entered 7/11.

"I'm sorry but I couldn't help but notice your background screen," I started as I fiddled with the cups and coffee dispenser. "Who was the other girl?" I asked just as burning hot coffee trickled down my arm. "Goddamnit!"

Charlie just chuckled at me and took my cup away from me and started pouring the coffee with ease. "My sister; Anna." She said and handed me the coffee as she poured one for herself. We walked towards the counter and Charlie had dug up her wallet from her bag but I quickly took it out if her hands and put in my pocket.

"Let me pay." I said more of a fact than a question.

"You really don't have to." She said and looked up at me with those blue eyes. I couldn't help but stare.

"I want to." I simply said and handed the young girl at the counter the money.
