2. Holding You Tight

One thing I have learned through all that has happened is, people will come and go in your life, and whether they leave because of death or because you simply lose touch, when it comes to the person you love "Til death do us apart" is just an understatement, because death doesn't do you apart. The one you love will always be with you, whether they are dead or alive. And this goes for everyone you have ever loved and who has ever loved you. So, don't let the world fool you. Amazing things can happen when you have faith. -Harry

4. What now?

Harry's P.O.V.

The next morning, we were woken by tons of nurses. I was asked many questions by them, like, "Did she sleep through the night okay?" Or "Was her breathing normal?" Or "Does her heart skip a beat?"

Finally I had to scream, "Nothing went wrong!"

I sat in the chair that was in the room and held my breath. I just realized that I yelled at the people who are trying to save Emma.

I cleared my throat and said, "She slept well through the night, she didn't wake up once. We both fell asleep around midnight. Her breathing was normal throughout the night. She didn't breath heavily and neither slowly. Her heart doesn't skip a beat. It never has and it probably won't. It's beating at a pretty good pace and is just fine."

All of the nurses nodded with approval. I got up and walked out. Emma looked confused as I walked out. I just smiled at her and walked out the door and into the hallway.

"Wow, this looks familiar." I mumbled. "The hospital is starting to become a second home."

All the nurses walked out and smiled at me. One of them stopped next to me with a worried look.

"What? What's wrong with her?" I asked hoping to get an answer.

He didn't answer. I rolled my eyes and started to walk back in when he pulled me back by my shirt. I was so confused. He wanted me here but he didn't speak.

Finally he spoke, "She's not going to last. The bullet that went through her left tons of led and metal in her. And that's not good. It can kill some of her tissue and effect the growth of her brain and other organs. There's no way we can take it out safely. I'm giving her two years to live. Enjoy it. I'm so sorry, if there is a safe way in the next two years, I will gladly try. But I can't guarantee that either. By the time there is a safe way, the led and metal could be all throughout her body. I just don't know. So, please, take care of her and enjoy the love she is giving you. I'm so sorry."

He left without any other words.

I couldn't believe what I just heard. I wonder if Emma knows about any of this? I leaned against the door and took a deep breath.

"Dammit." I whispered to myself.

I walked in and Emma smiled.

"Did he tell you?" I asked.

She nodded. "I seriously doubt that what he said is true. I feel great!"

I laughed a little and went to go sit with her.

"So, did they tell you when you're able to leave?"

"Tonight, they just need to do a few tests."

"For what?"

"For the metal and all that other crap that's stuck in me. They just need to know where it's started out, and if there is a plan in the future, they'll try it. They know how much we mean to each other, they will do everything to keep me alive." She said shrugging her shoulders.

I leaned in to kiss her but she pulled away.

"No." She said.

I shook my head thinking this was some kind of joke.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm not gonna kiss you until I can have sex with you."

I smirked and pulled her close to me. Minutes later the doctors came in to take her to get some tests done.

It's been six hours and they are still doing tests on Emma. Finally Emma came out in her normal clothes and ran up to hug me. I grabbed her and spun her around. The doctors nodded and let us leave. Emma and I got in the car and looked at each other.

"What now?" I asked.

"Go home and have some of our own fun." She said with a devilish smile.

I smirked and held her hand as we drove home.
