Only in my dreams

Dreams are amazing when you think about it. Your body is asleep but your mind keeps going as if it is its own person. Your thoughts travel to places they wouldn't normally go. You have no control over it, you just get memories from the adventures. The dreams very seldom come back exactly the same, especially one day after the other. That's why I was so concerned when my dreams kept coming back, about the same thing, the same occurrence, the same person.

1. A life unmoving

My name is Aralyn Jones, I'm twenty years old. I'm a recent graduate from the community college in Ogden, Kansas. I moved from there to Cincinnati, Ohio. A small business firm hired me as the secretary. I work there Monday through Friday from 8am to 8pm. A small apartment complex is where I reside after business hours. I have no family, I lost my parents after high school in a car accident. I never was a socialite, and the few friends I had are back in Kansas. So, it's safe to say I live a life unmoving. Everything has been the same in my life, always has been really...well, up until the night I had the first dream.

"Did you get that paper work finished, I need it for a meeting in an hour," Mr.Frayley, my boss, asked.

"Yes sir. I'll have that on your desk in ten minutes," I replied. Mr.Frayley returned to his office without another word. I pulled up the file and printed it off.

Business is so slow in this office, he gave me that paper work a month ago and I finished it in three days. The total number of employees would be five, including the janitor. Most employees are over the age of 40. So, the only person in my age range is me. I can't exactly complain, the pay is good, and the job is easier than most. It is just slow..incredibly slow.

I took the papers from the printer and placed them on Mr. Frayley's desk, and then made my way to the lounge. I got the leftover Chinese food from last night that I brought into work from the fridge. I microwaved the food and sat down. Displeased with the taste I mostly picked through the food and waited for time to pass. I had an hour for lunch, wahoo.

"Aralyn, Aralyn...Aralyn!" I sat up to find my boss standing over me. I must of fell asleep considering the noodles strung on my arm.

"I'm so sorry sir, I must of just dosed off," I apologized.

"It's been a slow day. I'm sure nothing exciting will be happening anytime soon. Go home, get some rest," Mr.Frayley replied.

"You sure," I asked? He nodded his head and then walked out. I didn't waste time. He never has let me off this early, it was only two. I grabbed my bags and headed for my car.

I got in my two door, little red car and started the engine. Then, I realized I'm had nothing to do and debated going back inside. Usually by the time I get off I'm so tired from the dreary atmosphere of the office, I go home and go straight to sleep. Thanks to my two hour power nap, I have several hours to kill. What to do? What to do ?
