2. What's Going On Here?!

On my way down to the Main Office, I was shocked that nobody was out in the halls. Usually someone is...especially from the office and at least a few teachers. And the lights were flickering on and off.

Great, you just walked right into a horror film, Abs. I thought to myself in annoyance. And you had better remember how to and be able to kill someone if needed.

I reached my destination and made my way inside. I was still nervous, I get anxious a lot. It's not a pleasant thing to undergo.

Mrs. Manning didn't even have to ask me for my name. My face, dark gothic makeup, and pure black (save for my dark dark blue jeans) clothes were all she had to see to know that it was me. She smiled and waved at me, then told me to go ahead and go into the Conference Room on the right.

I was extremely nervous now. The last time I was in this room was to inform Mr. Oli and Mr. Dodge (our co-principals) about a creep that latched himself onto me and kept sexually touching me.

This was bad. Very very very bad. I was in trouble! I knew it! I took a deep breath, closed my eyes determined not to open them for anything, and opened to door up.

I stepped in the room with my eyes still tightly shut, and plugging my nose by only breathing through my mouth so that I couldn't even smell their scents, my heart was hammering against my chest, I was extremely nauseous, and ready to die.

"Abbie, you can open your eyes." A familiar male voice said to me. One I've only ever heard on the television.

I gasped sharply and held my breath in.

"Bruce, she's going to faint." Another, this time, female voice said to the male.

There was a shuffling of chairs and feet and suddenly two pairs of arms were holding me.

"Honey, open your eyes."

Daddy... I hadn't seen him in ten years, but his voice... His voice was still the same as it ever had been.

"Daddy?" I shakily asked, steadfastly refusing to open my eyes still. But I breathed in his scent and it was him... And someone else's that I couldn't focus on right then.

"Abbigator, it's me. You need to open your eyes."

My childhood nickname... The one dad gave me! It's got to be him!!

I shook my head. "No, if I do, I'll see the Board of Education. I'll be expelled. I don't know what I did. But I'm so sorry! Don't expel me!!"

"Sweetheart, they're not going to expel you. It's not even the Board of Education... It's something else." He said hesitantly.

I slowly began to open my eyes, only when I couldn't see because my vision was blurred did I realize that I'd been crying...sobbing.

I let my eyes dry out, wiping the tears from my cheeks. And the people that sat in front of me, and the two that were holding me. I blinked rapidly. This couldn't be right... Really, it couldn't be.

"What's going on here?!" I finally croaked out.

"Well, Abs, this is what I've been so busy with in the last ten years. Why I haven't been home in a while. Why when I am home, I'm always sleeping. Why all your high school life, I've never been anywhere near your school. Honey, I'm really a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent. Also, your last name... That's a nice little surprise to tell you about. Ummm... Our last name is Coulson." My dad said, running a hand over his semi-bald head.

I looked around, eyes wide in surprise still. I couldn't believe it. My dad was finally FINALLY telling me the truth! I had already known for a while that he was the infamous Agent Phil Coulson. It was kind of hard not to know because of all the media publicity that the events were given.

But, then again, that wasn't as surprising as the fact that I was in the presence of these amazing people. I now knew why Mr. Topah had asked me to get autographs.

I was meeting with The Freaking Avengers!!

Thor. Dreamy. Hot. Gorgeous.

Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man. Smart. Hot. Strong.

Bruce Banner a.k.a. Hulk. Amazing. Smart. Brutally awesome. Hot.

Hawkeye. Cool. Hot. Strong. Impressive.

And best of all, they all had beautiful eyes!!

Then there was the other person still holding me...it was...my mom...?

"Mom?"

"Hello, dear."

"Why are you here too?"

"I'm here because not only am I your mother, but I am also an Avenger."

Then I went through everything that I knew about my favourite group of heroes. And I realized that my mother had to be Black Widow.

Black Widow had never been seen in or on any media device yet. She was able to become invisible to the public eye if she so wished to.

And this shocked me. This shocked me the most. And that is because I hadn't been expecting that... At all...

Again I asked, "What's going on here?!"
