10. Night Time

Uncle Thor was by my side instantly, pushing me behind him, and soon Uncle Hulk was in front, Daddy Logan growled, extending his claws and prepared to fight Loki. Daddy Tony grabbed me and flew off with me, Daddy, Mom, and Hawkeye split up. Daddy got in the car and flew after me and Daddy Tony while Mom and Hawkeye stayed to fight Loki.

"JARVIS! GET STARK TOWER'S SYSTEMS READY FOR THREE OF US AND THEN GET THE SECURITY SYSTEMS ONLINE AND FUNCTIONAL! NOW!!" Daddy Tony yelled.

"Is that where we're going? To Stark Tower?" I asked, perplexed.

"Yes. I know that you may not be able to do what I'm about to ask, but I need to drop you and you need to fly ahead of me and your Dad. Can you do that?"

Instead of answering him, I smiled at him, and let go, slipping through his grasp. And immediately I became engulfed by my flames, knowing that if Loki were to find me, I'd need to use this power in order to even out the playing field.

"Good. Now take this," Daddy Tony said, handing me a phone. I placed the same spell that keeps my clothes and other belongings alive on it. "It'll let JARVIS known who you are quicker than anything in the world. Now go."

And go I did. I flew faster than either of them could. And I was in New York City fifty-seven and a half minutes later.

It wasn't hard locating Stark Tower. It's huge, so I had no problems.

I was there in seconds. And JARVIS knew me and let me in. And then the Tower was on Lockdown. Silent sirens, red flashing lights, bars on the windows, and a huge force field surrounded Stark Tower. Nobody could get in and nobody could get out.

I swear, it was HULK proofed!

I laid down on the floor and concentrated on meditating and clearing my mind of fear and any other emotions other than tranquility and peace of mind.

And then the fun started.

"Come out, come out, little Abigail, wherever you are!!" A feminine voice sang as it got closer and closer to me.

I used my magic to mask my presence and dialed Daddy's number from the high-tech phone that Daddy Tony had given to me.

"Abagator?" Daddy said when he answered it.

"ABBIE??" Tony said in the background.

"I'm here. But someone's here with me!" I whispered into the phone.

"Hide! Get ready to protect yourself. To battle against whatever is there. Do they know who you are?"

"She sang my freaking name!" I hissed shakily.

"D--N IT!" Tony swore loudly. "I'm on my way. I think I know who she is. I should have EXPECTED THIS! PHIL, TELL HER I'LL BE THERE SOON!!!"

"Did you hear Tony?"

"Yeah, Daddy." My voice was quivering

"Good. Now sit tight and relax your mind. Be on guard. Vigilant. I love you. And I'll see you soon." Daddy said.

I was afraid. Actually afraid. That woman was obviously in cahoots with Loki. "Hurry, Daddy!" I whispered frantically.

"Now, now, Abigail Coulson. I know all about your little party tricks!" She called out, closer than before. Very much close.

I stiffened. "She's closer!"

"Hang up. Stop talking and get into the air. Go to the top floor, and stay in the air. Hide yourself. Tony is almost there. I'll be a little bit behind him. Now do as I say, Hun."

"Okay. I love you, bye!" I said as I pressed the end button on the see-through touch screen phone.

And I chose fire again, hoping that she was a frost giant as well. And I flew to the top of the building. I was directly underneath the roof access. And I'd use that as a means of escape.

I was in the air, pulling back my fire to contain it within my hair and hands, steadying myself.

She was a few floors below me, but she was searching for me actively.

"Lord, please protect me. Keep me safe!" I prayed silently to God and Jesus.

And they answered my prayer, for at that second, Tony flew up to the window next to me, locked outside by the force field. But he was soon inside the field and was up on top of the roof.

I made a silent run for the access stairs, knowing that I'd need to be up there as soon as possible. It was evident in my predicament.

I slowly opened the door and then quietly closed it behind me. I dropped all my spells and even stopped flying, running up the stairs instead. Bent on getting to Daddy Tony.

I give up being quiet about half way up the stairs and ran faster and faster, becoming louder and louder as I went up. And then, thanks be to sweet Jesus, the door at the top of the stairs was in sight and I plowed through it with a vengeance.

"Abs!" Tony said, opening his arms and catching me as I ran at him.

"Daddy Tony!" I sobbed, crying all over him...again.

"Shhh... It's okay. I'm here now. Listen to me, love. I need you to be ready to go. When she gets up here."

I shook my head affirmatively and released him, calling upon my ice power, hoping that the hard shell of my skin would protect me more. But I had no inclination of leaving Tony here by himself.

"No, not yet. Don't use your energy up all at once."

"Yes, sir."

"Get behind me."

I did, and just as I did, the door bursted open and suddenly, Tony's Iron Man suit was flying at me, latching itself onto my body and pulling me up into the air.

He knew me more than I thought. He was FORCING me to leave him behind.

"JARVIS! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN!!! DON'T LEAVE HIM HERE ALONE!!! DON'T MAKE ME LEAVE!! I CAN'T LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!! IT'S ME SHE WANTS!! LET HER TAKE ME!!! TONY!! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" I screamed as I was being dragged away by a suit of armor.

"JARVIS, take her to Phil." Tony said calmly to JARVIS.

"TONY!" I screed again.

"Be safe, Abbie! You won't get hurt anymore." And with that, he turned towards the woman who was walking out of the door, with strikingly--almost as if it were dyed--red hair, wearing a tight black suit with a strange black, twisted crown upon her head.

"STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!" I was still fighting the armor, trying beyond everything to try and get to Tony.

But it wasn't letting me do anything. And then it was going off at warp speed, taking me to where my father was. Wherever that is.

I began to doubt that he was ever going to Stark Tower. That they had a back-up plan. A contingency plan in case the Tower had been compromised.

I was crying. I could still hear Tony through JARVIS. He was being beaten.

And I knew that the stupid suit was what kept his arc reactor steady sometimes. That without the suit, it could possibly stop working, allowing the shrapnel to get to his heart, killing my godfather instantly.

I wasn't ready to let that happen. All in one freaking day.

In. One. Freaking. Day.

I've been attacked.

Asked out.

Met new family members.

Had secrets revealed.

Loki find me.

Forced to flee from my home.

Been under lock and key.

Forced to leave my godfather behind while some crazy chick was beating him up.

And I've cried my eyes out more today than ever in my life.

And screamed more.

I was still screaming for JARVIS to take me back.

And then Tony grunted in my ear and told JARVIS to deploy "night time".

And suddenly, everything was black.
