Morgan encounters a mysterious, yet breathtaking boy. Although she wants to, she can't resist him.

6. Chapter 6

My phone buzzed, snapping me out of the gaze I had with the TV. I looked down at the lit up screen. Unknown number. I frowned in confusion as I opened the message.

"Remember seven;) Xx" I immediately knew who the unknown person that sent the message was.

"Arthi!" I yelled her name as if I were angry with her.

"What?" She walked out of the kitchen with her mouth full.

"How did Harry get my number?" I waved my phone in the air as I spoke.

"I don't know." She smirked. She was a horrible liar.

"Why did you give him my number?!" I raised my voice.

"Well, technically I didn't." She sat on the couch and turned her attention to her own phone.

"Liam asked for it." She said as if it were no big deal.

"Ugh" I groaned. The "date" was only two hours away. I had been busy the whole day doing the work I missed from school when I was sick, so I had lost track of time.

"Do you need help getting ready for your date?" Arthi asked, trying to change the mood.

"No, I'm not going."

"Yes you are. You can't just blow him off." She looked up at me, her eyes burning into me.

I had been dreading this ever since he mentioned it last night. This wasn't something I wanted to happen.

"Morgan, go." Arthi said after she realized I was deep in thought. That was never good.

"I can't." I said in a softer tone, knowing she would understand why.

"Morgan, you can't go on like this forever. You're gonna have to let a guy in sooner or later. Give him a chance." Her eyes on mine from across the room. "Every guy isn't like Bradley." She almost whispered.

Hearing his name made me feel uncomfortable. Bradley was the one thing in my life I wish I could take back. I loved him and he hurt me. I felt tears welling up in my eyes as I thought about all the secrets I shared with him, all the times I thought he was the one. No. I will never let myself be hurt like that again. Ever. Even if it meant never having that special someone to bring me flowers for no reason, make me mad and then kiss me, or have pointless conversations just for the sake of talking to each other.

"Morgan." Arthi continued to push me.

"Fine." I said, giving in.

I straighten every strand of my brown hair. I had decided to go casual, only in skinny jeans and a ruffle shirt. Voices sounded from downstairs as I unplugged my flat iron and slowly slid my boots up each leg. I gave myself a mini pep talk as I walked down the stairs.

"Hey babe." Harry was sitting on the couch beside Liam.

When I didn't say anything he rose from the couch and started walking towards me. I swallowed when I felt his hand on my lower back, my own hands becoming shaky.

"You ready?" His raspy voice whispered in my ear.

"Mhm" Was all I could manage to get out as he intertwined our fingers.
