14. Chapter 14

"Do you want us to go in with you?" Arthi asked me before I opened the door to the room Harry laid in.

"Doesn't matter." My stomach started to turn when I thought about what Harry might look like.

"I think we should just stay out here." Liam jumped in.

I could see they didn't want to enter the room, so I slowly pulled the door open. I thought about closing my eyes, but I didn't. It was quiet, the only light in the room was coming from a tall lamp in the corner and the machines that Harry was connected to.

"Harry." I whispered. I couldn't see if he was asleep or not, his body turned towards the TV on the opposite side of the room. I sat down in the chair that was beside the bed, I figured he was sleeping since he didn't answer.

"I'm so embarrassed Morgan." Harry's voice was low. He didn't turn to face me.

"Why?" I whispered. My hand found his back, I rubbed circles in his warm skin. He must not have liked the hospital clothes because he had, what I assumed were, his pajama bottoms on. His chest was bare.

"I kept going. I knew the light had just turned red, but I didn't stop."

"Harry, look at me." I commanded in a quiet whisper, I guess I thought people were going to hear us. He turned over. He didn't look any different except for the cut just above his eyebrow. "It's okay." I reassured him.

"Morgan." He grabbed me hand. I stood up, walking closer to the side of the bed so he wouldn't have to stretch his arm out. "I'm glad you came." He smirked while his other hand grabbed the top of my sweat pants. His long fingers fiddled with the material, occasionally caressing the skin that my shirt wasn't covering. "Kiss me." His eyes flickered back up to mine.

"I don't wanna hurt you." I was worried about his fragile body.

"You won't." His eyes were burning into mine, telling me he needed my touch.

I slowly leaned down, keeping my eyes on him the whole time. He lightly smirked as my lips found his. My free hand was playing with his soft curls. His lips were so soft, working along mine with gentleness.

"When will you be out of here?" I pulled away when my back started aching from bending down.

"I don't know." He looked at my hand as he continued to play with my fingers. "Here." He shifted in the bed, offering me the spot beside him.

"No...no, it's ok." I pulled the chair up close to the bed, I didn't want to be responsible for hurting him even worse.

"I'm sorry..about what happened on our date."

"Harry, stop apologizing." I leaned in to kiss his cheek. "It's okay."
