Fire 2

"We can forget all of the bad things and then start new."
"Is that enough for you."
"Do you love me?"
"As long as you do, it's always enough for me."

23. Not yet at least

Preparing for graduation was the hardest thing. Of course my gpa was fine, but Prom and my valedictorian speech, that was eating me alive. And on top of that, Ryan jumps on me in our free time, but I really don't have any. This baby thing is stressing me out too, which is bad because I have less chances of getting pregnant. On top of ALL of that I have to plan a wedding, my wedding. Dresses, table settings, location. Jesus I'm gonna barf.

"Morning babe." Ryan kissed my forehead as I sat at the desk.

"Ugh!" I groaned crumbling up the sentence that I wrote and throwing it at a bin. "Fuck! This is no fun." Ryan laughed setting down a cup of coffee. "Thanks. You're a life saver." I took a long sip.

"Maybe you should take a break?"

"NO! I can't! I have to get it out of the way so I don't stress about it more."

"I like these shorts on you."

"Ry. Don't do that." I sighed as he rested his warm palm against my thigh sending shivers down my spine.

"Do what?" He whispered in my ear.

"I don't have time for this, Honey. I have to get this done so I can go dress shopping with Gabby and Jessica."

"Wait Gabby's going to Prom?"

"Gabby hates dances."

"Not this one. She was the one who suggested we go. Now, can I get back to work?"

"Fine... but guess what?"

"I love you."

"Shut up." I snickered. "I love you too." He leaned down and kissed my nose.

"Oh and you have that doctor's appointment at 3 o'clock."

"Fuck." I shook my head. "Okay I can finish before then right?"

"Scarlett, you can't rush this. Just think of a topic that represents this generation."

"Oh my god! Ryan! YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER!" I shrieked. "Oh my god! I love you so much! You just saved me so much time! I'll write about social media! Or just technology itself! Holy crap!" I jumped up wrapping my arms around Ryan's neck. "I have all the time in the fucking world."

"Then let's go have some fun yeah?"

"What'd you have in mind?"

"Hm... maybe some... GTA5?"

"Hell fucking yes!"

"Wait how do you drive the car?" I grumbled as I once again pulled out the phone.

"Why do you keep pressing that?"

"I don't know!" And now Franklin was taking a selfie.

"No! Scarlett! Your gonna crash!" There was a knock on the door just as the video game car crashes into a light post.

"Fuck! I'll get it." I hopped up and ran to the door.

"Sup hoe." Gabby laughed. "Wait, why aren't you dressed."

"Oh man I'm sorry, Ryan was teaching me how to pick up prostitutes."

"Wow. You are very determined to have a baby."

"No I mean... anyway I have a doctor's appointment at 2. I totally forgot! I'm sorry!"

"Whatever. We'll go some other time okay?"

"Okay. I'm really sorry."

"It's fine!" She laughed. "Have fun picking up prostitutes." I closed the door and ran back to Ryan.

"Do you want cookies?"

"Yes." I gasped without hesitation.

"So you'll make them then?"

"Really?" I put my hands on my hips.

"Kidding. Kidding." He laughed getting up from his spot on the couch. "Wait..." He put his hands on my cheeks and searches my forehead. "Is... is that a pimple?"

"NO! I wash my face every day, I haven't had a pimple since 6th grade!"

"You're pregnant." He beamed.

"Ryan... are you seriously trying to call me fat because I won't make you cookies? That's fucking low." I scolded him.

"No babe I actually think you're pregnant."

"Fuck you Ryan. I'm going to take a nap, and if you dare wake me up, it better be with cookies."
