Fire 2

"We can forget all of the bad things and then start new."
"Is that enough for you."
"Do you love me?"
"As long as you do, it's always enough for me."

26. epilogue

"Ryan where are the candles?!"

"I don't know! Oh my god, they were right there I swear!"

"Well now they're not! How are we supposed to tell them that?!"

"I'll go buy some more."

"It's raining you dimwit."

"Who says we need candles?"

"I say!"

"Scarlett, don't be difficult!"

"I'm not being difficult!"

"Would you guys stop fighting for two seconds?!" Ryan's mother butted in. "Now come on and watch your kids blow out the bloody candles!"

"We can't find the candles." I whispered.

"Well that's because they're on the damn cake!"

I was shocked when I walked into the dark living room. Sure enough the candles were lit on the cakes. There were only two on them, but I didn't care, it was tradition! "NOW LETS SING!" Robin and Wyatt blew out the candles before the song finished. Ryan's hands rested on my hips, as we watched our children shove cake into their own faces.

"We did pretty good." Ryan said.

"Not yet. We have 16 more years to prove you wrong."

"18 for her." Ryan rubbed circles on my baby bump. The 5 month old belly wasn't as big as it was with the twins, which is a relief, because I was huge. Our first girl and I was so excited!

"Offer your mummy some cake." Ryan's mom told Robin.

"Gak?" He asked, icing sticking to the roof of his mouth. I took a look at the once beautifully decorated cakes that I made. They were a mess.

"No thank you." I laughed. The boys had thick British accents, but not even two years of London could break my American one. Ryan shivered at the mess. "It's okay, I made an extra one." He kissed my cheek.

"You're the best."
