Bradley is smoking hot. He's a man whore. Every girl wants to jump in his pants not to mention a few guys. But then, there's Shay. She hates everything about him, from his floppy hair to his Australian accent.
Shay is a bookworm. She reads and reads and reads. If she's not reading she's dancing in her mother's studio.
Somehow Bradley finds this ever so endearing and tries his very hardest to get her attention. But of course he'll never get it.

Shay's POV

It's been two days since the break in and I'm constantly telling different officers the same exact story. It was aggravating, I had a son to take care of and a lock to get changed. I can't even do that because my house is a crime scene. They want to find any other signs of forced entry so they could make sure the seal up everything.

"How are you feeling?" Nicole asked me over the phone

"Exhausted." I laughed walking towards Brad's kitchen. "I just thank god for my dad."

"And Brad." I could practically see her smirk.

"Okay so Brad's helping me what's the big deal?"

"The big deal is that you're sleeping in his bed."

"Am not!" Yes I am.

"Liar. I know he wouldn't let you sleep on his couch, and all his other rooms are off limits."

"What are you talking about?"

"They're like his date rooms."

Date rooms?"

"The rooms he takes girls into so they can... You know."

"Oh... How do you know about this?"

"Um... Girls from his college... Anyway I gotta go."

"Okay..." She hung up. "Bye." Well that was weird. I ignored it and set down my phone. I walked out into the hallway and stared at the door at the end of the hallway. I had never opened it. I took a deep breath and took a step forward. Then another, then another until I had my hand on the nob. I turned it and the door swung open. An office. No bed in the shape of a heart, no candles. Just an office with huge windows and a massage chair. Nothing that has sex written all over it. I suddenly felt stupid and quickly closed the door.

"Shay. Have you seen my..." Brad appeared into the hallway. "Oh you're wearing it." I looked down at the plaid button down shirt that hung loosely on my body.

"Oh I'm sorry. I'll take it off." I laughed undoing a button. "Nice office by the way."

"You can um leave it on. I don't mind."

"Oh don't be silly. I can find something else to wear." I unbuttoned the rest of them and slipped the shirt off my shoulders and handed it to him. "Are you okay you look a little... red."

Brad's POV

To say she was hot would be an understatement. She was sexy as she scurried down the hall in her underwear. I shuddered trying to get her perfect body out of my mind. I threw the shirt on not bothering to button it and shuffled into the living room. I reached for the remote but didn't find it. I looked over to see Shay already holding it. She was wearing my Panic! At the Disco shirt. Fuck.

"I thought we could just sit here for a bit... No TV." She held a book in her other hand.

"And do what? Read?"

"It's a good book. I'll even read it to you." She held up the hard cover with the words Fault in Our Stars painted across the top.

"Hey, if a book is being read to me, I think I'll chose it."

"I have a ton in my suitcase. You can go check them out."

20 minutes later I found the most amazing thing ever.

"Read me this one." I smirked.

"A- are you serious?!" She stares at me. "I'm not reading that to you!"

"Then I will." I opened to the first page."I scowl with frustration at myself in the mirror. Damn my hair-"

"STOP! Okay I'll read you the damn book." She snatched 50 Shades of Grey out of my hands. I laugh at her defeat as she begins to read. It's boring through the first chapter. So I give up.

"Where's the sex?"

"A book can't just start out with sex."

"It can if you want it to." She stared at me, for a long time before saying something.

"Is that how you would have started our book? With sex?" she questioned. I hesitated.

"Yes." I say honestly. "But I'm glad it didn't. I'm glad I screwed up so I could see how much I..."

"How much you what?" She cocked her head to the side.

"How much I needed you." She stared at me as we laid on my bed. "But I'll tell you one thing. I'll never screw up again."

Shay's POV

I set the book on the bedside table and turned back to him.

"Ever?" my voice was more of a plea than a question.

"Ever." I felt his hand on the back of my thigh, bringing me closer to him. I rested my head on his chest. "ever." he repeated.

"I'm breaking up with Peter tomorrow." I decided out loud.

"Let's not talk about him okay?" I nodded in agreement placing a soft kiss on the base of his neck. He placed his hand on my chin tilting my head up slightly. His lips brushed mine, and a shiver ran down my spine. His lips finally pushed against mine hungrily, his hands running down my back. And then he was on top of me, his hands on either side of my head, His legs tangled with mine.

"Brad...I..." I tried to speak."We can't..."

"Relax we're not gonna do anything if you don't want to." He reassured me, and i nodded letting his lips reconnect with mine. "I want you bad."

"Oh." I sighed as he left kisses down my neck.

"I know you keep picking the wrong guys, but I wanna fix you. I know I'm not perfect, I keep changing my mind on what career I want, and I'm not made of money, but I really really like you. I don't want to screw this up again."

I knew he was right, I did pick the wrong guys, but what if he was just another one?

Brad's POV

"Where's Jake?" I had my head in her lap as she read a book, a different one of course.

"With my dad, they went to the mall to get Jake some new shoes. But I know they're meeting Josh there."

"My dad was on the phone with him before they left."

"How do you feel about that?"

"I mean he's trying, and I pushed him away, but that is my dad's son he'd forgive him for anything." I sighed.

"I wish my dad would try. He left the house right after mom died. And Louis was 20, he was in college and he had to look after us until Amanda turned 18 and he left and got married and then then I turned 18 and Amanda left me here alone."

"Do you think you'll move ever?"

"I can't. I mean this is where my mom is. Not literally of course." I laughed. "But all of the memories of her, happy, they're all here."

"I know the feeling. But all the memories of her, my mother, they are over powered by her screams in the middle of the night."

"You're thinking of moving?"

Shay's POV

"I might." Jesus why am I lying about this? "I am. I'm moving to New York." He furrowed his eyebrows.

"When?" He was so close to me I could feel his breath hitch. I reached up to touch his cheek.

"About four months." I avoided his eyes. "I got excepted to Juilliard."

"Oh." He nodded. "That's great." He sat up.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked copying his actions.

"No, not at all."

"I just found out a week ago." I pleaded.

"But we started 4 days ago."

"What?" Is he regretting this already? "We never started." I felt the bile rising in my throat. "We made a deal that you are slowly losing." I climbed out of his bed. "I'm gonna take a shower."

"Shay." He grabbed my hand. "I just... That's on the other side of the country."

"I know. But we can try at least." I pulled my arm out of his grip.

Brad's POV

I screwed up. I really screwed up and I knew that as she walked to the bathroom. I panic.

"I love you." But she doesn't hear me, and I'm a little glad. I'm not even sure if it was true. But the words echoed in my head. I love you. I love you. I love you.
