Academy for the Dramatic

Candace is finally leaving to go to The Academy for the Dramatic in New York City. This is quite a drastic change for her, because she has always lived in San Fransisco, CA. Will Candace do amazingly in school? Will she do terribly? Maybe some certain guys will be able to help her find her way.

7. Goodnight

 Liam's POV

I don't know what this girl's deal is, making Niall do everything for her. I mean, I no she is injured, but still, she can walk! You know how you always have that one person that just annoys you and you have no idea why? That would be Candace for me. She just has kind of a big personality.

"So Harry, I saw the news on the day that I was in that wreck just a few days, and can you tell me exactly what you said? Cause I don't quite remember..." Candace asked Harry, already knowing the answer, but wanting to hear him say it. Like I said, big personality.

"Ummm...I don't really remember." He said nervously scratching his neck.

"Oh come on Harry! Did you say I was pretty or something like that?" She asked.

 "Yeah something like that."

"Candace, why do you care? He obviously doesn't want to talk about it! Just leave him alone!" I yelled angrily at her. She looked at me with a shocked look.

"Wow, it's amazing how wrong you can be about a person." She said looking at me. We sat there in awkward silence, until finally she got up and said, "Well, I think I'm going to go. Gotta get ready for classes to start on Monday! It's already Saturday you know? Well have good night guys." Candace said it with a disappointed tone in her voice. Most likely because of me. Oh well.

"You know there was probably a nicer way to say that Liam." Zayn commented.

"Yeah but then Niall's stupid girlfriend probably wouldn't have gotten what I was saying." I said rolling my eyes.

"She isn't my girlfriend!" Niall yelled.

"Okay then what is she?" I yelled back.

"She is just a friend!" He shouted, leaving the room.

"Buy guys." I said, leaving Niall's room and heading to mine.

When I got to my room there was something sitting on my coffee table.

 It read:

  To Mr. Liam James Payne

Please come to my classroom at 7:00 p.m.

for a brief meeting.

Mr. Callahan

He usually doesn't call me in for meetings with him. I really have no idea what he is wanting to talk about with me.

 *7 p.m.*

I walked into Mr. Callahan's office, and there was one other girl sitting in there facing Mr. Callahan, and they were making small talk.

"Liam! You're here!" Mr. Callahan exclaimed.

The girl that was sitting in the chair did not turn around, which made me a bit sad. I don't know, there was just something special about this girl, I hadn't even seen her face, I don't even know her. But I already get butterflies in my stomach when I am in the same room with her.

"Now you two are freshmen at this academy, and the freshmen play a very important role in this school. In my drama class anyways. It may not be exciting to you, but it has to be done. Somebody has to do it!" He started.

"What is it Mr. Callahan?" The girl sitting next to me asked.

"Good question Miss Parker!" He exclaimed.

"Lighting and sound. I know you don't like it, but you always end up doing something you don't want to do sometimes in your life!" We groaned.

"Oh, don't be like that! You will still get to act in class, but most likely not in performances."

"Why is that Mr. Callahan? Why is it that we have to do it?" I asked.

"If you want to be in any part in the spring musical, I suggest that you stop asking why, Mr. Payne." He answered back.

"Fine." I said slumping down into my chair.

"Is there anything that we-well I can do to get a part in the play and not have to do lights and sound?" The girl asked.

"What is your problem? Why do you only care about yourself?" I had absolutely no idea who she was, still I managed to raise my voice at her. The same girl I was speechless around just 5 minutes ago.

She turned her head to face me, and it turned out to be Candace. Now I'm just mad at myself, because I thought the annoying, big personality one is pretty.

She looked at me with her sad blue eyes, turned to look at Callahan and choked out, "I guess, I'm sorry." She got up and left hugging herself.

"I think enough has been said. You may leave now Liam."

"Goodnight." I said getting up and leaving. I got out to the corridor, and heard faint sobbing coming from the stairs. I turned to look, and there was Candace. Sobbing with her face I her lap and her arms folded across her knees. She I guess felt my presence sand looked up.

"There are so many terrible, terrible words I could use against you, about you, at you, but I'm not going to. It wouldn't make me feel any better." She said.

"Yeah same here, but I think I will spread them. Use them against you, about you. How does that make you feel Candace?" I said snottily.

"What's wrong with you? Why do you have to be so terrible to me and only me?" She yelled.

"Why do you have to make Niall do everything for you?" I asked her, using the same tone as she did.

"What? I didn't make him do anythi-" she started to say.

"Really now? You didn't make him do everything for you? You didn't make him cook for you, clean for you, go shopping for you?" I asked annoyingly.

"I don't want to deal with you right now." She said getting up from the stairs crossing her arms, and pushing right past me.

"I don't want to deal with you ever again!" I shouted at her.

 "Ditto!" She shouted back.

 Candace's POV

Walking back to my room after that very upsetting talk with Liam and Mr. Callahan, I saw a flyer on the bulletin board in the hallway. It read:

Freshman Volleyball Tryouts Saturday

at 4:30 in Gym A

Talk to Coach Smith for more information

I took the flyer and went back to my room with it. I sat down at my dining room table and looked over the flyer. I took out my phone to look at my calender to see what I had tomorrow at 4:30, and it turned out I had nothing planned, so I decided to tryout.

It's now 4:00 on Saturday, and I decided to start heading over to the gym. When I got there, nobody else was there, so I got a ball and started serving over the net.
