8. The Pessimist

Harry's P.O.V.

"Would you let go of me?!" She yelled at me. When my grip loosened she fell to the bed and looked up at me. Her eyes were spacing out, as she leaned back up against the headboard. I started to crawl up next to her on the mattress. "What do you think you are doing?" she asked me, sitting back up.

"I'm gonna lay down with you until you feel better. I don't want to leave you alone." I laid my head on the pillow next to her.

"Get Out!" she yelled at me, picking up a pillow from the foot of the bed and throwing at me.

"Why?" I asked, easily dodging the flying pillow.

"Cuz, I don't want you in here."

"Fine." I got up, and started for the door. I turned back to look at her one more time before exiting the room

"Go!" She yelled again, throwing another pillow, that time succeeding in hitting my in the stomach.

"I get it. I'll leave." I turned and closed the door behind me. I slid down the closed door till I was sitting on the floor.

"Bro, What are you doin?" Liam came around the corner.

"I don't know." I placed my face in my hands. "I can't seem to do anything right." I mumbled into my palms. I lifted my head to look at Liam again. "She hate's me." I grabbed the door frame and hoisted myself to my feet.

"She doesn't hate you" He walked up to me and put a hand on my shoulder.

"How can you know that?" I looked at him. I could feel the tears begin to weld in my eyes. I quickly blinked them back.

"She does't hate you." He said again. "She is just overwhelmed, and frustrated. Give her time. I'm sure sure that you would feel the exact same way if you switched places."

I turned to face her door again, my nose an inch away. I cracked the door, just enough to see her sleeping, curled up in a ball at the foot of the bed, exactly where I left her.

"Mate, you gotta give her space." Liam advised, putting another hand on my shoulder and pulling me away from the door, and her out of my sight. "Let's go," Liam pulled me even further from the door. "I think they need some alone time."

I followed without question, I knew that he was right, I just didn't want to leave.

"Can we get a room?" Liam asked the woman at the front desk of the hotel. We had decided to stay at the Hampton, It was a nicer hotel, but not nice enough that people would guess that anyone famous would stay there.

The girl turned around, and froze, obviously recognizing us. "Um, Yea." She shook her head breaking herself out of her trance, and looked down at the computer screen. "What kind of rooms would you two like?" She still hadn't completely recovered. She was staring right at us, with a look of astonishment on her face.

"Just one please. Two full sized beds. If that is okay?" Liam asked, pulling out his wallet.

"Yes." She pulled out two card keys and handed them each to us. "You will be Suit number 204"

"Thanks." Liam said, putting his wallet back in his pocket after receiving the key, and paying for the room.

"God!" I looked up and down the hall, "I haven't been in a hotel like this in ages." Liam grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"This is us, mate." The room was smaller that I was used to, but the size brought back memories from before I was famous, and my family and I would go on vacations.

"They have on room service." Liam exclaimed, throwing the amenities down on the bed.

"Well what did you expect, This isn't a 5 star hotel." I laughed, laying down on the couch.

"Just not used to it is all." He put his bag down on the bed, and turned to me. "How long we staying?"

"Don't know. Till she comes around. Or till the tour starts back up." I picked up the remote and started flipping through the channels. Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope, HELL NO!, Yes. I stopped at the X factor USA. It brought back memories to watch this show, even it was a different version.

"You wanna go get some food?"

"No, not hungry." How can I eat at a time like this?

"Suit yourself. I'm gonna go get some pizza." He got up and looked at me. "You can come with if you want."

"No, I'm just gonna lay here and drown in my sorrows."

"Okay, have fun. I'll be back in no more than an hour." He left leaving me with nothing to do but watch TV, and stare at the popcorn ceiling.

Liam’s P.O.V.

Thank god no one knows where we are. I thought as I drove past store after store looking for a pizza place. Luckily in this town there were rich people around every corner and my car didn't stand out. I pulled into the Pizza Hut parking lot. Debating whether or not to go in or go through the drive through. If I chose the drive through, then I would be done faster, but that also meant that I would have to go back to Harry sooner. If I went in then I was risking being noticed, but I could wear sunglasses. I’ll go in. I looked up from the console after putting on my glasses to find two girls standing in front of my car, just staring. Great, Just Great.

I hopped out, and turned to the girls. “Hello girls, what are your names?”

“Sarah.” The blonde raised her hand.

“Grace. “ The Chinese one raised her hand.

“Pretty names. Do you want a picture?” I asked motioning to the phones in their hands. They nodded vigorously, the blonde, Sarah I believe she said her name was, handed me her phone. I leaned in close, close enough to tell that she was wearing our moment. “Say Bat Man!”

“Bat Man!” She shouted just a bit too loud as I snapped the pic.

“Your turn.” I turned toward Grace and took her phone from her out outstretched hand. "Say Bat Man!"

"Bat Man!" she said. "Why are you here?" She asked as I handed her-her phone back.

"Oh just visiting an old friend. Also, I've always wanted to watch the filming of The Walking Dead. Well, I'm going to go get my pizza now. Could you two do me the biggest favor in the world? It's very important."

"uhh huhh." The said in unison as they vigorously nodded their heads.

"Don't tell anybody that I'm here, don't tweet it, don't even tell your mums or your best friends. This will be our little secret, okay?"

"We promise!" They said with their eyes opened to an extreme degree

"Well alright loves, thank you so, SO much." I said as I waved them off. I could hear their giggles as I turned and walked inside the building.

Annabelle's P.O.V.

I woke to the sound of clapping from the living room. Lilly was probably watching some kids show. I sat up and looked at the time on my phone. 4:30, wow, I had slept for two hours. SHIT! I screamed in my head. I didn't get my paper in! Oh Well, good thing Professor Caldwell is a girl, maybe then my excuse will work, if she is a Directioner that is. I stood up just a bit to fast, and felt as if someone hit me over the head with a frying pan, and sat back down. I put my head between my knees, to try and lessen the nausea. I sat like that for what felt like hours, but was more like 5 minutes. I stood again, this time prepare for the pain, which was not as intense as before.

I walked int the living room to find Lilly sitting on the couch, shouting in Spanish at the T.V. as she watched Dora. I stood behind her, just watching, and wondering how at 18 years of age she could sit down and watch a show meant for toddlers, without a baby there to watch it with. "hmghm" I cleared my throat, getting her attention. She snatched up the remote and quickly changed the channel. "You just changed the channel from Dora to Max and Ruby." I said looking down at her. "What was the point in that?"

"I don't know what you are talking about" she replied, changing the channel again, this time to the news.

"Lilly," I said, as I walked around the couch to face her. "We need to talk." She ignored me, leaning to her left to get a better view of the forest fire on the screen.

"I don't want to talk to you." she simply stated, not saying anything more.

"Well we need to." I walked up to the T.V. and turned it off. I turned back around to find her putting on her boots. "Where are you going?" I asked.

"Anywhere but here."

"How? Your truck is in the shop."

"I'm taking your car." she stood grabbing my keys off the table and rushed out the door before I could stop her.

I stood there, staring out the door after her for a good 10 minutes, not knowing how to react. I pulled out my phone to call Liam. Maybe he could help talk to her, and help me find her. It wouldn't be the first time that day. He was the only one Lilly could talk about it to at the moment anyway, without telling everyone what was going on. I put my phone up to my ear, and waited as it rang, for Liam to answer.

Liam's P.O.V.

I hadn't even waked into the restaurant before my phone went off. "Hello." I answered

"Liam, It's Annabelle, I'm so glad you picked up." Said Annabelle.

"Hey, whats up? Haven't talked to you in about two hours."

"Umm, could you maybe, you knowww, help me look for Lilly? She jacked my car, and I was wondering if you could drive me to go find her, if that's okay." She sounded nervous, and hesitant to ask.

"Sure, I'll be there in about 10."

"Thanks-bye." she said before hanging up.

I looked at my screen. Wow, twice in one day. Well, at least I don't have to be around Harry. Maybe by the time I get back he won't be such a pessimist about everything, Harry! the glass is half full!. It didn't take much to talk myself into it.
