6. Level Up

A few weeks later, Adrianna burst noisily into the room the guild slept in.

“Get up you lazy pigshits!” She yelled, slamming the door behind here.

“What the fuck, Adi!” Mike heaved his body upright.

The girl slapped the back of his head and continued as though nothing had ever happened.

“Get your armour on, we’re doing some last minute levelling up.”

“Last minute?” Nina yawned as she rubbed her eyes sleepily.

“That guild, The Lune Legends, found the next boss room and we’re helping them take it down.”

“Woah! How did you find that out?” Buttercup stared in awe at Adrianna.

“I have my sources.” She smiled and lent on the back of the door.

Everyone hastily equipped their armour and went downstairs for a quick breakfast before heading into the woods to level up as much as possible.

Despite it being a bright, summer morning, the forest was incredibly dark. There was no lack of monsters to battle, and they had all advanced several levels by midday.

By early afternoon, TRIBUNA were standing outside a large wooden door with a few other guilds. Adrianna and the leaders of the other guilds were discussing their formation one last time before they went back to their respective guilds.

“Okay,” Adrianna scraped her blue hair into a high ponytail as she ran through the plan, “We’re one of the frontline guilds, which means that we’ll be battling the main boss, rather than the low level monsters in the room. Loo and Buttercup will stay towards the back, so if one of us has a problem we can count on you to switch with us. The other guilds are using similar formations, and make sure to use your healing potions if you need them. Any questions?”

No one spoke up, whether out of fear or understanding Lewis wasn’t sure. Everyone drew their swords as a tall, muscular man went to open the door. By looking at his white and blue armour, it was clear he was from The Lune Legends, a powerful guild. He placed his dark hand against it and pushed.

The three frontline guilds surged forward first, and the remaining four guilds came along behind. The doors slammed shut with a thud and a giant beast appeared from the shadows. It had the body of a man, with a bulls head and tail and had an extra pair of arms with sharp claws. It gave a mighty roar, and twenty black bulls materialised around the players. The fight was starting.
