TRIBUNA

What if you found yourself inside a game? Lewis and thousands of others found themselves inside the online MMORPG: Swordsmaster. 18. Darkness

Lewis cursed himself silently as he pressed himself against the wall. He would definitely pay if anyone found out. He stalked the man until they were right at the edge of the village. There, just where the stone path faded into a dirt track, was the rest of The Spade.

Thankful that his dark hair and uniform helped him blend into the shadows, he waited and listened. Admittedly, the conversation wasn’t particularly interesting.

But then a single word grabbed his attention.

Adrianna.

“What a shame Adi’d rather hang with those brats.” One boy said, admiring his sword.

“We all know she’d rather be here with us.” That was Dante’s voice, no doubt about it.

Lewis clenched his fists. He couldn’t stand them talking about her like that. Adrianna may be rude, but she wasn’t selfish and she definitely wasn’t a lost puppy. What did Dante and the rest of The Spade’s members know about her that he didn’t!

“You seem confident, D!” One boy teased, “How do you know she’ll go back to how she used to be?”

“Because,” Dante grinned, “she knows no one can fuck her like I can. She’s my bitch.”

Was… was that the secret? It seemed worthy of a punch in the face to keep under wraps. But it just didn’t seem like her, not one bit. Adrianna was strong and independent, not some disgusting bastard’s sex toy. He felt sick as he listened to the laughter of the guild. No wonder the girl hadn’t felt like talking once they returned to the inn, he doubted the others would still follow her if they knew.

Slowly, silently, he crept away from The Spade and toward the town square. No one could know that he heard Adrianna’s secret. No one could know that he had ever left the square. No one…
