25. ~Chapter 24~

Autumn's POV

We rushed Emma to the nearest hospital. When we got her inside, Harry carried her of course, The nurses rushed up to us.

"What happened to her?" They asked frantically trying to get answers so she could be treated.

"We don't know. Sh-she was telling us something then she fainted." I was so worried I forgot what she was saying entirely.

"Ok. Nurse get me a room, and a sterilized IV. Do you remember anything else? Did she look pale, vomiting, shaking, anything?"

"Okay. Please wait out here."'

We sat. We waited. But nothing took away the fear of what might be wrong. Eventually a nurse walked out faking a smile.

"We found something. Her brain. There is a pressure from a... a tumor." When she said that my heart stopped. A tumor. Tumor's can be deadly. If they don't remove it all, they can grow. She would have to be here at the hospital, constantly.

"Will she be okay?" Harry asked, his whole body shaking.

"If we can remove it all. There is some damaged tissue around her long-term memory lobe."

"So?" I asked dumb-founded.

"She may not remember you guys. We will have to do an immediate surgery to remove it. After that... only time will tell."

"O-okay." When she left, I started crying. I can't believe this could happen to her. Her, of all people.

Later on when she was out of surgery we went into her room to visit. She was strapped to a breathing tube and was still unconscious.

"We were able to remove the inflamed tissue and the tumor completely. She may not remember you bit she will be healthy." The nurse said cheerily.

"Will she ever get her memory back?" I asked in between shaky breaths.

"Possibly.." The nurse said.

"Possibly. So there is still a chance." Harry said.

"That's good enough for me." I agreed.

"Don't get your hopes up. It will not be instantaneous if she regains her memory at all." The nurse warned. It's too late. My hopes are up.

Harry and I stayed in the waiting room all night. I slept for about... 5 minutes total. I would figure Jamie would be here too, but she is probably on the bus or wandering around the parking lot. Maybe it was just too much for her to handle. Emma, her partner in crime, was in an emergency room after a surgery. I, on the other hand, you couldn't keep me away even if I was the only one who could push a button that used my thumb as a password. And that button would keep the world from and explosive doom.

Every once in a while I would sneak into her room to make sure she was still alive. That she hadn't disappeared.

When the sun came up I went back to the bus to change and brush my teeth. Maybe make myself look presentable in case she woke up. When I went inside Harry was gone. I walked to her room to check on Emma and found her awake ,staring at the ceiling, restrained to her bed.

"What's going on?" I asked Harry.

"I walked in here, went up to her bedside, kissed her cheek, and she opened her eyes, arms flailing screaming at the top of her lungs. A nurse restrained her then you walked in." He said expressionless.

"So she..." I said.

"Yeah. She doesn't remember us."
