13. Chapter Twelve - Darkfeather

The dark figure stood on a rooftop, watching everything going on below. He was waiting for a mugging, a robbery, ANYTHING. He wanted something to happen. Anything.

Finally, he heard a scream. He jumped off the roof, landing on his feet like a cat. There was a mugging going on - two buff men against a teenage girl. He swiftly knocked the thugs' heads together and handed the teen her purse back.

"Who are you?" the girl asked.

He shrugged. "I guess you can call me Darkfeather."

WIth that, Darkfeather fled. His phone began to ring as he reached a quiet spot. He winced when he saw the Caller ID and answered. "Hi Dad."

"JUST WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, BAXTER THOMAS WAYNE?!" This was the first time Bruce had ever yelled that Darkfeather could remember.

"You offered to let me be Robin. Why do you have a problem with me being my own hero?"

"You would've said no."

Silence. "Come home. Right now. I'll discuss this with your mother."

Darkfeather smirked. Selina usually took his side, since she was known for her risky (and risque) behavior. "Okay, I'll be home in about ten minutes."

Darkfeather smirked and hung up, taking off his max to reveal that he was, indeed, Baxter. He ran off, toward Wayne Manor.
