11. Moving Out

I sighed and sat up when I heard the door open and closed, knowing Liam was home. I slid down off my bed and walked into the nursery, seeing were laying quietly for once. I scooped Darcy up in one arm and did the same to Dylan, taking them into the living room so I could talk to Liam and watch them at the same time. I place Darcy in her little seat the rolled around, watching her kick her feet. Dylan was laid under a bridge looking thing that had little toy dangling from it.

Liam was walking out of the kitchen as I sat down on the couch. Our eyes connected and he stopped walking, standing in the middle of the living room. I sighed and patted the seat next to me, motioning for him that we had to talk. He plopped down beside me and sighed, waiting.

“I think I need to move back in with Harry. You are gone a lot and I can’t take care of them both on my own as much as I am now. Gemma and Anne live closer to Harry than they do to you and if I move back in with him they can help me. I don’t want to move out but I think it would be best for the twins.” I say quickly, just in case he wanted to interrupt. He sat quietly for a moment before responding.

“Okay.” He said, nodding his head. My mouth dropped a little before I could consume my expression. Just like that? No arguing, no asking me to stay, no ‘I’ll help out more often?? Just ‘okay’?

“Okay, um, I guess that’s it. You can still come see them if you want to.” I offer, standing and rubbing my sticky palms on my jeans.

“Okay, thanks.” Liam said, standing up and walking towards his room. I watched him leave, still in pure shock.

Was it something I’ve done? Did I do something to him to make him act like this towards me? I bit my bottom lip hard before nodding my head to myself, grabbing my phone. I dialed the number I promised and waited for the answer.

“Yeah, hey. Liam said it was fine.” I say, not letting him talk as I spoke.

“Just like that?” Harry asked, disbelief in his voice.

“Yup. I told him and he simply said okay. There wasn’t a huge argument or anything.” I say, looking over at Darcy has she grinned and was bouncing in her little chair.

“Okay. I’m free later so we can start packing up and moving everything. I’ll be there in about an hour.” Harry said, sounding pleased.

“Okay. I’m gonna go ahead and start packing my stuff. I’m going to leave the babies stuff alone until you get here.” I said, walking into my room to grab my bags and lay them on my bed.

“Alright. I’ll be over before you now it. And I got plenty of baby stuff, don’t bring to much.” Harry said, sounding a little distracted.

“Okay. See you soon. Buh bye.” I say, hanging up the phone.

I started packing my stuff up, getting all of my clothes and shoes packed up by the time Harry got here. He helped stuff the rest of my stuff into a few boxes. He disappeared from my room with a few boxes just to come back empty handed. He put the rest of my stuff in his car, packing it to the limit in the trunk.

Harry didn’t bother with the baby stuff, just put it all back in the nursery. Darcy and Dylan were put in their carriers/carseats and put in the car. I out my dirty clothes into a separate bag and in the back floorboard, alone with my toiletry bag. I went into Liam’s room to say bye but he was already gone, having ducked out during the packing process. I sighed and went back out to the car, giving the house one last look before sliding into the seat and shutting my door.

I’ve lived with Harry for about two months now and everything was wonderful. We slept in the same room and snuggled but unfortunately it has never went further than that. Yet. I’m still counting on that. Besides Gemma and Anne, the ‘yet’ is the only thing I can count on. Harry tries his best to be here when he promises but sometimes it’s difficult with his schedule.

We already have girls coming to the house and asking if he’s here. It was cute at first but now it’s getting annoying. They keep coming later and later. The last one was at three in the morning. I had just put Darcy back in her crib from a diaper change, she had just gotten back to sleep when someone rung the doorbell. Naturally, the sound woke her back up and started the whole crying thing again. I picked her up and headed to the front door. I opened it to find a little sixteen year old giggling and asking about Harry.

Now, I will be the first to admit I could have been nicer to the girl. But, also, keep in mind that I haven’t had but two hours of sleep, my head was throbbing and all I wanted to do was sleep. She woke my baby up. Dylan has manage to ignore all of the noise but Darcy couldn’t. I told her not so politely to *cough, cough* ‘go away’. She made a face at me before leaving.

Anne and Gemma helped me when they could if Harry or one of the other boys couldn’t. Niall became one of my favorites to have around, always making me laugh and  keeping an eye on ‘his little princess’. Him and Darcy have gotten really close. She’s gotten to where she doesn’t cry with Niall around. She will whine until Niall would start to talk to her in that irish accent of his and she’d stop. It was amazing.

Today was a lazy day for all of us. Darcy and Dylan sleep all through the night now unless they get a messy diaper. I started to get more sleep and had more patients with the growing fanbase One Direction was gaining as more songs off their upcoming album were leaked. I wasn’t so cranky when Harry got home, actually in a good mood even if he wasn’t. The poor boy has been walking on eggshells around me. Harry was the best dad a women could ask for their kids. He got up and took care of the kids every chance he got during the night unless I knew he had to get up early the next day.  Their album is coming out tomorrow and he was super excited. I can’t blame him, I was just as happy.

I sighed and opened my twitter, enjoying the quietness this morning. I had done checked on the twins, they were still out cold. I went through my news feed and smiled at something Zayn had tweeted. I went to my connections and frowned. A bunch of people were tagging me in their tweets. I opened one and my mouth made a popping sound has I read what one girl was saying about me. I haven’t been mentioned since the last interview before the start of the album and I was already getting hate from little teenage girls. Harry walked into the room and I quickly closed out of twitter, shutting the laptop.

“Good morning, beautiful.” Harry said, kissing my cheek. I smiled at him and muttered my own good morning, sliding off the bed to get dressed. Okay, so lately I’ve grown really attached to Harry shirts when I sleep. Slipping the fabric over my head, I toss it onto the bed and go through the closet, pulling out some tights.

Instead of graving one of my own shirts, I grabbed one of Harry’s shirt, a red plaid one. After getting dressed, I pulled my hair into a messy bun and went to check on my babies. After dressing them, We all headed into the kitchen for breakfast. I had gotten this little nifty contraption to wear I don’t have to breastfeed anymore as long as I pump it out of my boob and into the bottle with the device given. It was easy, only took ten minutes to do two bottles. Niall walked through the door, announcing his arrival very loudly.

“You’re just in time. Feed Darcy for me, yeah?” I asked, handing him a bottle. He nodded his head and gathered Darcy in his arms and took her into the living room. I got a pop tart while Harry fed Dylan, talking to him in soft voices.

“Hey, I wanna ask you something.” Harry said as he fed the baby, looking up at me.

“Yeah?” I asked, taking a bite of my pop tart as I waited for his question.

“I want to take you out tonight. Niall and Ashley will babysit Darcy and Dylan for us at Ashley’s place. Just you and me and  a nice dinner.” Harry said, his green eyes sparkling at me.

“Um, yeah. I haven’t been out in a while. I’ll go with you.” I said, grinning back at him. He nodded his head, looking thrilled.

“So we will leave here about eight?” Harry asked, throwing the blanket Dylan had rapped around him and started to burp him.

“Sounds like a date.” I said, smiling shyly at him.

“Indeed it does.” Harry rasped, his right eye dropping a wink at me. I blushed and  through my trash away. I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room, thinking about tonight. I’m going on a date with the father of my kids. Butterflies erupted in my stomach as I plopped down on the couch. I can’t wait.
