Friendship from my point of view

Friendship from my point of view is one of the most important things in life. You can achieve all the success in the world but if you can’t share it, what is it worth then? Think about it… it’s nothing. I shared almost everything with my grandma, yeah it’s right my grandma. We were so close. Our connection were indescribable, we were like one. And it kills me that I have to write this in past tense… I’m just so grateful for the friendship we had. Age is definitely not a barrier to remarkable friendships.

I was her first granddaughter. I guess I was the apple of my grandma’s eye. I have spent so much time with her, not only in my childhood also in my later years. I think that brought us even closer, we could just sit and talk for hours – most teenagers don’t have that kind of relationship with their grandparents. 1. Friendship - from my point of view

I was her first granddaughter. I guess I was the apple of my grandma’s eye. I have spent so much time with her, not only in my childhood also in my later years. I think that brought us even closer, we could just sit and talk for hours – most teenagers don’t have that kind of relationship with their grandparents. Sadly, many people probably did not have an opportunity to develop a relationship with their grandparents. They don't understand the gifts that grandparents can give. Grandparents can provide a sense of continuity and roots to their grandchildren. They can provide a sense that life matters, and the ability to see life within a larger context of time. Our grandparents can teach us so much, and I really think it’s a shame if you don’t have a relationship with them. But the worst part of that kind of relationships is the age – we forget how much older they are than us, we just think they’re going to be there forever. But that’s not the case. I think everybody needs a friendship with a old person, they are so different from other kinds of friendships.
