9. Period Help

                     Period Help
Nobody likes talking about this. I don't either, but I thought that I should share some helpful advice for that time of the month.

First of all, your period is when the lining of your uterus has built up and is ready for male fertilization, but is not fertilized; Therefore, causing the extra tissues to turn into blood and drain out of the vaginal canal.

A female starts her period about age 10-16 and stops during menopause around age 50. Usually nobody notices when they have their period for the first time, nor know when it's coming. (Unless you are on a schedule that you can keep track of.) So, I recommend keeping some thick pads and a pair of underwear in your locker at all times.

Tampons are also an option, but you should wait until you're on a schedule, and have had your period long enough to be used to it. There could be health problems involved if you use tampons too soon.

When you first start your period, I recommend wearing thicker pads since you don't know how heavy your flow is. At night, I also find that the nighttime maxi pads come in handy. I'm warning you, don't ever make the mistake of wearing brand new underwear when you're on your period...

One of the consequences of having your period, is that you're always in a bad mood, and surprise! There's moderate to severe cramps in your back and upper thighs. To help forget all of these things, my favorite thing to do is taking a very hot shower and curling up with a bunch of snacks.

I hope this helps during that time of the month!
